I straighten my fingers and angle them up, stroking that spot that makes her shudder. Moving my hand and pinning her chest down.
Her eyes widen as she looks at me.
“I-I’m gonna…”
She trails off, gripping the pillow and slapping it back on her face. Shaking as her choked scream is muffled, fisting the sheets as she begins to squirt all over my hand. Her body vibrates before going limp, dropping the pillow on the floor.
“You did such a good job,” I murmur as I lean over and kiss her forehead.
I sit up, pulling my fingers out, licking her off me. “Fucking delicious.”
She gazes at the ceiling, chest still rising and falling in deep breaths.
“Fuck… I didn’t know I could do that.”
“Can we do it again?” I ask eagerly.
She shakes her head. “Everyone is probably awake, we should get this over with, and I really want to see Genni.”
I groan, rolling over and planting my face between her breasts, trailing my arm and squeezing one.
I don’t want to. I just want to stay here with her like this. Having to formally meet the brother sounds more like a hassle than anything. Maybe I can just kidnap Calli and take her away for a few days.
“C’mon, get dressed,” she says, gently nudging me off her. “I’ll go down first, okay? I need a minute to explain things to my brother.”
She scoots off the bed, and I marvel at her. My eyes trail down her back, at the little dimples at the base of her spine, the dip in her hips that makes me fucking ravenous. I watch her as she slides on a new pair of panties and glides to her closet, throwing on a T-shirt and leggings. I glare at her, offended that she would dare cover herself. She turns to me with a serious look on her face.
“Please don’t do anything that will piss him off.”
The corners of my mouth pull up. “Of course not, pretty girl, I wouldn’t want to compromise our ruse.”
She rolls her eyes and walks out the door as Karma bolts into the room. I turn over and reach my hand out, scritching her little chin.
“Care to come down there with me? I’d feel a lot better if you did,” I say to her. Karma purrs in agreement as she stretches herself out then jumps down off the bed before turning to me as if she’s waiting on me. I stand, dragging my feet.
I hear Calli reach the kitchen and I follow, staying behind the wall at the top of the steps. Peeking down the stairs, I see her embrace her brother. Karma rubs herself on my leg as I stand silently and listen.
“Thank the Gods you are okay,” Calli says to Cade, her voice cracking.
“Gods had absolutely nothing to do with it,” he says flatly.
She laughs, releasing him, wiping her tears. “At least you seem the same.”
“How are you?” he asks, placing his hands on her shoulders. I feel my eye twitch.
“Good! Really good. Actually, there’s something I need to tell you.”
I watch as he looks down at her, concerned, one hand still on her shoulder. My jaw tics as I fixate on his hand on her. I sense her heart rate pick up; she’s nervous. She’s losing her resolve.
I quickly move and take the opportunity to intervene, presenting myself at the top of the stairs.
“Good morning,” I say, smiling from ear to ear.
Cade’s expression darkens, and he takes a step toward me. My eyes spark at the challenge, at the boy who dared to touch what’s mine.
“Who the fuck are you?” he asks angrily, looking me up and down.
“Kai! Yo, what’s up, man!” Jack gets up and comes to greet me. Only that’s definitely not Jack. Thankfully, I met Jack in person on Halloween night, so we can play this off. I guess Alok has been stalking us longer than I thought. I should have known.
