Dreams Of Fate

My magic warns me, yet I still know nothing.

Who is he? Tell me.

I wait, but no answer comes.

Find him.

His humming escalates, and my heart speeds up. My chest feels tight, and the cold seeps into my bones.

“Who the fuck are you?” I grit out, narrowing my eyes at the top of his head.

The humming stops.

Time ceases to exist. The ice begins to melt. The drip, drip echoes in my mind.

He slowly turns his head and, even more slowly, tilts it back.

Our eyes lock.

His eyes are bright blue. Evil. Satisfied. I can’t look away.

Griffon grins. “I can’t wait to meet you, Savy.”

I swallow harshly.

I try to speak, but nothing comes out.

Wild One.

Griffon lifts a brow, and I can’t focus. He’s enjoying my panic and distraction.

“Savy.”

My teeth snap together. I can’t move, and Griffon wants me to stay.

“Savy,” Archer growls.

He yanks on my arm, and I blink.

Suddenly, the room is gone, and I’m in Archer’s arms. My spell bounces back into my body, and I exhale roughly.

“Fuck,” I chatter, and touch my cheek. “Why am I crying?”

“I’ve been trying to get you out. I was calling your name, and you didn’t respond.” He frames my face. “Baby, I saw everything. It wasn’t until I touched the tattoos on your arms that you snapped out of it.”

“Archer, my tears are frozen,” I whisper, panic slithering inside me.

“I know.” He brushes the melting moisture away.

“He shouldn’t be able to interact with me in that way.” I press my palms against his chest and bow my head. “What the fuck is going on?”

“I don’t know,” he grumbles, rubbing my arms.

“Are you alright?” Mara asks, and I turn my head.

“Yes…maybe…” I ease back. “This guy is pissing me off.” I drag my hands through my hair. “He acts like he knows me, but I’ve never seen him in my life. I didn’t learn anything except he likes order, brings his own sheets to a hotel room, and lets good food get cold.” I pace away, gripping my hair, and then whirl back. “He has blond hair, it’s neat, and he’s thin.” I shake my arms out.

“Savy,” Archer says, and steps in front of me. “Take a breath.” He grips my shoulders and breathes with me. “He won’t hurt you. I don’t care who he is or what he wants. He’ll have to get through all of us to get to you.”
