Families walking downtown. The place I spent years seeing as a tourist attraction. A story. Now it feels like home.
"I’m not sure what everything looks like yet."
He nods. Fair.
"But?"
I smile.
"But I know where I want to figure it out."
His shoulders relax.
"Here?"
"Here."
A small smile appears.
"Good."
I tilt my head.
"That's all?"
"What else should I say?"
"I don't know."

When we pull apart, Sayer is in the doorway.
"I have a question."
I look over.
"Should I be worried?"
"Probably."
Rhett crosses his arms.
"What?"
Sayer points toward the living room.
"The Halloween decorations."
I blink.
