And the thought was terrifying.
His rhythm slowed while I slowly came down from the rafters and when I opened my eyes, I concentrated on the smirk crossing his face. He knew exactly how to drive me crazy, keeping me wet and hot all over.
While he kept the rhythm slow and easy, he placed both his hands on either side of my head. Maybe he wanted me to hold on for dear life.
We locked eyes as he fucked me, the soft and easy strokes becoming more fervent, rougher. He was testing me, studying me.
Worried about how much I could handle.
“Don’t worry, my handsome Pakhan. I won’t break.”
As if the floodgates had been pried open, the smirk turned into a mischievous smile and there was nothing left to hold him back. “We’ll see about that.” He drilled into me, the wind knocked out of us both. I couldn’t stop panting as I bucked with him. Roaring, he slammed us into the wall, fucking me as if in a frenzy. I gasped and bit into his shoulder as a tear fell from my eye. In the darkest moments, I hadn’t known if I’d ever see him again. Almost out of breath, I gripped his hair. “Maxsim!”
His stamina was exactly as the man, powerful and relentless. Just when I thought he might tear me apart, every muscle in his body tensed. As he finally erupted deep inside, I squeezed my pussy muscles, delighting in how his body responded almost instantly.
I gripped his shoulders while he filled me with his seed, finally able to relax since escaping.
When he pulled me away from the wall, I laughed. “What are you doing?”
“Whatever I want. Who said I was finished with your homecoming?”
Home. Maybe there was a way I could feel as if his house and his world was my home.
Yet if I did, what would the consequences be?
CHAPTER 11
Maxsim
Isabel was right.
About one too many things.
She’d challenged me in a way that had easily stripped away my usual defenses. While she’d been frustrated with me, even furious at hearing my insistence about us being married, she’d chosen her words carefully.
I’d never taken her for a fool, nor had I ever considered her anything less than formidable. She’d proven how strong she was, able to catch me off guard with her resolve.
How could anyone in her position have been so brave?
The fact she’d managed to escape was difficult for me to wrap my head around even now.
I leaned back in the chair, watching her as she slept. The intense shadows would soon give way to the early morning light, but at this point, I still preferred the darkness. When the world was quiet, I was offered an opportunity to think without distraction.
There was something peaceful about just being able to watch her sleep, knowing that she was safe. My daughter as well. The tide had rolled in less than an hour before bringing crashing waves against the shoreline and sand dunes. For me the sound was one of the most comforting, now even more so than usual. Even the light breeze flowing in through the door she’d insisted on leaving open brought a feeling of tranquility where I’d felt nothing but stress before.
That didn’t mean I could rest easy, not by a long shot.
She’d admitted her love for me and what had been my response?
Silence.
In my mind, openly admitting how I felt about her would challenge some demon hellbent on ruining me. Was that nothing more than a ridiculous excuse or a further acceptance of who I was as a man? That was something I had no answer for.
Not one I wanted to admit to myself.
I took a sip of my drink, which I’d been nursing for a couple of hours, swirling the liquid as my mind processed everything I’d heard thus far.
The warehouse would be found one way or the other. And another message would be sent, but that wouldn’t be enough.
