Simon doesn’t merely want the evidence inside it.
He needs the compass to find what Dad hid at Blackwater.
Ben’s image returns on another monitor.
He stands inside the damaged corridor beneath the salvage yard. Dust covers his clothes. Blood runs from a cut near his hairline.
“Don’t answer him,” he says.
“He has Naomi,” Ivy replies.
“And he needs Calle to believe giving him the compass will save her.”
“What if it will?”
“It won’t.”
Ivy turns on him. “You don’t know that.”
Ben’s expression softens, but his answer doesn’t.
“Yes, I do.”
Simon’s voice interrupts.
“You have thirty minutes.”
Marquez raises the radio. “We need proof that Naomi is alive.”
Donald tears the tape away from her mouth.
Naomi cries out.
The sound is small and terrified.
Ivy grips the edge of the table.
“Tell them,” Donald orders.
Naomi looks toward the helicopter.
“Don’t give them anything.”
Donald strikes her across the face with the gun.
Ivy screams.
Ward catches her before she reaches the monitor.
“You son of a—”
Storm wraps an arm around her.
Naomi lifts her head.
