Caspian: The Not So Friendly Ghost

I made the suitcase slide across the driveway toward Yonas.
He backed away, and the suitcase followed. “I said I’m going! Stop making it follow me!”
Lakelyn covered her mouth while Willow laughed so hard she could barely breathe.
I finally stopped the suitcase, then popped it open one last time.
A pair of pants flew out and landed directly at his feet.
“There! Put some mothafuckin’ pants on!”
Yonas snatched the pants off the pavement, and for a second, I thought he might actually put them on.
Instead, he threw them into the passenger seat, jumped behind the wheel, and slammed the door.
I shook my head. “Well, fuck it. I guess you like driving in drawers.”
The engine started.
I moved the remaining suitcase safely away from the tires, and Yonas backed out so fast I almost thought he was going to take one of my damn hedges with him.
The gates opened, and he drove through.
Right before he disappeared down the road, his horn started blaring by itself.
BEEEEEEEEEP!
I laughed.
“Drive safe, my nigga!”
The horn stopped, his taillights disappeared, and finally, the mansion went quiet.
Lakelyn stood near the front steps staring down the driveway while Willow stood beside her wiping tears from her face.
I looked toward the remaining suitcase sitting near the driveway and decided I had one more petty-ass thing left in me before I let him disappear for good.
I lifted the suitcase off the ground with my power and sent that mothafucka sailing over the gate. It hit the grass on the other side with a heavy thump that made Lakelyn jump and Willow laughed.
Before either of them could recover, the suitcase burst open and spilled half of Yonas’s shit across the lawn.
A pair of Yonas’s boxers floated out and landed across the top of the wrought-iron gate, flapping in the breeze like a warning flag to every nigga who ever thought about pulling up to my crib with a suitcase.
I nodded in satisfaction. “Now everything’s out in the open.”
Willow stared at the gate for a few seconds before slowly shaking her head. “Lord, that poor man. Got his draws flying over the property line like a surrender flag.” She squinted. “Let’s just pray they’re clean. It’s one thing to have your draws on public display, but leaving DNA evidence on the gate is nasty work.”
Lakelyn chuckled, looking at her. “Oh, now you feel bad for him?”
Willow shrugged. “A little.”
Lakelyn laughed. “Willow, seriously, what the hell just happened?”
Willow stared toward the mansion, then back at Lakelyn. “You heard that man. According to Yonas, he just had a full encounter with Caspian: The Not-So-Friendly Ghost. And based on the way that nigga left here in his drawers with his luggage chasing behind him, I’m inclined to believe his testimony.”
“Willow…”
“No, sis, because now we got a little more evidence, and let’s discuss it.” Willow started counting on her fingers. “Your man used to run niggas off when y’all were together.”
