“I’m not doing nothing!” he snapped, still digging around like his life depended on it. “It’s this nigga!”

Willow kept her back to him. “Look, Caspian… hurry up and finish whatever supernatural STD screening this is, because I did not consent to watching it!”

I started laughing. “Nigga, at least turn around. You making this look real personal.”

By then, Yonas had pulled his dick halfway out of his boxers trying to get at the itch, and from the way his hand was moving, anybody walking in at the wrong moment would’ve thought he was beating his dick instead of fighting for his damn life.

Naturally, I looked at Lakelyn… just to see her reaction.

There wasn’t a hint of interest on her face. If anything, she looked completely disgusted.

A slow, cocky smirk pulled at my mouth.

Yeah. Ain’t no competition over here.

Lakelyn threw a hand up. “Yonas, please stop! You’re embarrassing yourself!”

“I’m trying!” he snapped, still fumbling with himself. “Yo’ baby daddy is fucking with me! Tell him to stop!”

“Caspian, stop!” Lakelyn said.

That caught me off guard.

I couldn’t tell if some small part of Lakelyn had actually started wondering whether Yonas was telling the truth, or if she was simply so damn over the whole scene that she was willing to call my name just to see if I would listen to her… if she believed I was actually there.

Either way, I listened.

I released the sensation completely.

Yonas went still, then let out a long breath of relief. “Thank God.”

He hurriedly tucked his dick back into his boxers and turned toward Lakelyn like she had just been handed all the proof she needed.

“See! It stopped just like that because he listened to you! Now do you believe me?!”

Willow finally spoke again, slowly turning around with her hand covering her eyes. “Is it safe to turn around now? Because I cannot be traumatized twice in one night. I still gotta sleep after this.”

Lakelyn didn’t answer either. Her face said she was somewhere between calling the police, a psychiatrist, and Pastor Whoever-the-Fuck was available first.

I smiled.

“Nah, she still don’t.” I let out a quiet laugh. “But now that we’re done with your little boxer emergency, tell her the truth… or I can lock every muscle in your body up at the same damn time and let you find out how bad that feels.”

Yonas’s eyes bucked. “Okay! Damn!”

“Okay, what?” Lakelyn asked.

Yonas straightened slowly, breathing hard and shooting pure hatred toward the space where I was standing.

“Lakelyn, I wasn’t completely honest about what I told you about my job.”

She scrunched up her face cutely in confusion. “What do you mean?”

He hesitated.

I went back to his ribs, only that time there wasn’t anything playful about it. I tightened the invisible pressure around them until his next breath came up short.

Yonas sucked in air and grabbed both sides. “Okay! I wasn’t honest at all!”
