Moonveil and Magic

My thighs clenched instinctively. A low moan escaped me as I reached into the heat between my legs, my fingers finding my core while I watched Lucien take him deep. Kael let out a guttural growl that vibrated straight into the floorboards, his large hand reaching down to tangle in Lucien’s hair, anchoring him for the drive.

Watching them cross that threshold, owning the hunger they had fought for fifty years, sent a surge of liquid fire through my veins.

I moved towards the bed, my movements slow and feline. “I want to taste you both,” I whispered, my voice thick with a hunger I couldn't hide.

Kael eased back slightly, his thick, glistening length sliding free with a dark groan as Lucien stood, gasping for air and giving me full access to them both.

I leaned down, my tongue swiping across the tip of Lucien’s shaft before sliding down to lick the base of Kael’s cock, catching the sweet, salty tang of their friction. With both hands, I cupped their shafts side by side: one thick, veiny, and swelling at the base; the other sleek and hard as steel. Groaning with delight, I tongued both cocks together, sliding my hands up and down in tandem.

“Ivy, please... let’s do this together,” Kael groaned, his voice a low, desperate rasp as he leaned down to capture Lucien’s mouth in a searing kiss.

My entire body was on fire, glowing like a beacon as the shard pulsed a frantic, strobe-like rhythm on the nightstand.

Shedding the last of my breath, I climbed onto all fours on the edge of the bed, facing away from them and arching my back, putting myself directly in the path of their storm.

Lucien didn't hesitate. He moved to step behind me, his hands gripping my hips to anchor me as he backed into position, taking Kael into him from behind while aligning with my core. As Kael drove into Lucien and Lucien pressed flush into me, the connection between the three of us snapped into place with a violent physical jolt.

I cried out, the pleasure and wild magic merging into a single wave as the vibration of Kael’s thrusts travelled straight through Lucien’s body and into mine. We were locked, a complete, unbreakable unit.

The air imploded.

A concussive wave of pure magic detonated from the bed, driving the breath from my lungs. The room expanded with the suffocating heat of blinding sapphire and golden light. Heavy pressure slammed against the walls and floorboards, rattling every fixture in the room. The sheer force of our climax sent a tremor straight through the ley lines beneath us, burning through the last of our barriers and leaving the air humming like a struck bell.

I collapsed against the mattress, still tangled in Lucien and Kael’s limbs, our breathing a synchronised, ragged rhythm as the blinding light slowly condensed back into the room.

Then, the Shard on the nightstand sang a single, high, glass-shattering note.

A wave of silver light washed over the bed, originating from the foot of the mattress where Violet stood.

She wasn't hissing or purring. She was standing perfectly still, her small calico frame silhouetted against the brilliant light, her eyes glowing an ancient, burning silver that matched the energy coiling around my wrists.

Then, the silence of the room was shattered—not by a meow, but by a crisp, sophisticated, and thoroughly unimpressed female voice echoing directly inside my skull.

Honestly, Ivy, if I’d known it would take a puma, a wolf, and a fragment of the First Dawn to get you to stop overthinking, I would have intervened ages ago.

I froze, my heart nearly stopping. Lucien and Kael both bolted upright, their predatory instincts screaming as they shielded me and looked around for the intruder.

“Who said that?” Kael growled, his body tense and ready to kill.

“You heard it too?” I whispered, my voice trembling. “I… I think it was the cat.”

Violet—or whoever was wearing her skin—leapt onto the pillows, walking with a heavy, regal grace no ordinary feline possessed. She sat down, looking me straight in the eye with a gaze that held a century of secrets.

Don't look so shocked, darling. It’s a very cramped body, and I, your great-grandmother, was always a fan of the dramatic entrance. Now, stop gawking at me and put some clothes on. We have a coven to dismantle, and very little time to do it.

Morning After: Trust, Teasing, and Tension

Sunlight spilled through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Lucien’s penthouse, glinting off the safe where the shard rested. I sat cross-legged on the sofa with Violet, my familiar-turned-great-grandmother, curling around my legs, but the atmosphere had shifted from the purely domestic to something far more ancient. Her tail flicked with a mix of agitation and approval, and her eyes held a steady, shimmering silver glow. I could feel the soft hum of the crystal beneath its pulsing light, but it was now interlaced with a secondary, silver frequency that felt like a remembered warmth.

Lucien moved with graceful precision in the kitchen at first, though he kept casting wary, respectful glances toward the calico. As the coffee finished brewing, he crossed the room to join us, setting a tray of fresh pastries and steaming mugs on the coffee table before sinking into the armchair closest to me. Kael, who had been crouched by the rug adjusting the protective aura around the shard, stood and moved to the sofa, sitting near enough that his heat was a constant and delicious pressure against my side.

I glanced at Lucien, his amber eyes locking with mine, and I felt a warm shiver run through my body. Puma, I thought, a sly grin tugging at my lips. Kael’s dark eyes flicked to me, sharp and predatory, and I murmured under my breath, “Wolf.”

“Little red,” Kael growled softly, leaning forward. His fingers brushed lightly over my knee, the touch possessing a weight that made my skin prickle with awareness. “You’re glowing this morning. Still feeling the resonance?”

My cheeks warmed as the memories of the night flooded back. “Yes, and well, you two left quite an impression,” I smirked, shifting my deliciously aching body on the cushions. I let my fingers drift to the backs of their hands as they settled near me. The subtle contact sent a jolt through me, and the shard pulsed in response.

Lucien’s chest rumbled softly, a low vibration radiating from him, and Kael’s growl deepened. The air seemed to hum with a shared energy, as if the room itself were alive.
