Chapter One

Cypher stood next to the bar in the Savage Warriors clubhouse and scanned the room. He was used to parties and drinking, but this was nothing like the kind of party they normally had here. The clothes were way nicer and the two women in white dresses, dancing together in the middle of the room were totally foreign to him.

Well, the women weren’t. Neither was that they danced together. He’d watched more than one pair of women in this clubhouse, but they usually had far less clothing on and had been up to things far dirtier than either Elizabeth or Jenna would do. At least together or in front of the whole club.

Never in his wildest dreams would Cypher have guessed they’d be holding a double wedding.

No, the two women dancing together weren’t marrying each other. They’d each married separate Warriors less than two hours before. And while there was plenty of alcohol flowing, neither had touched it. He didn’t even have to watch them to know.

Elizabeth was only a couple of weeks from delivering, and Jenna had said she wanted to stay sober so she could remember every detail of today. The two had become fast friends after Jenna and her little sister had come to live on the compound a couple of months before.

Turning his attention from the two women, he scanned the room. His gaze landed on a raven-haired beauty he didn’t recognize. But it wasn’t her beauty that caught his attention, and she had beauty in spades.

What caught his attention was her expression and her clothes. She wore a pale blue pantsuit that was as out of place here as his leather cut would have been at the white house. As he watched, he took in more. She wasn’t the typical 18–25-year-old looking to party that often hung around the clubhouse. And she was far more polished and put together than any of the Savage Angels. She glanced around the room and shifted in her seat. He wondered who she was and who had invited her, since it was clear she wasn’t used to being around people like the Savage Warriors MC.

Cypher watched her for a few minutes, but no one approached her. She sat alone and watched the room like she was waiting to be jumped. Not that something like that would happen here. Neither he nor any of his brothers would allow it.

Ever.

But especially not at a wedding. She was clearly out of her element, and that intrigued him. He caught Bobby Lee’s eye, and when the prospect came close, he spoke.

“Hey, that woman over there.” Cypher tilted his head in her direction. “You know who she is?”

Bobby Lee looked in that direction.

“The one in the suit? No clue.”

“What’s she drinking?”

“Vodka soda, with lime, why?”

“Get me one. And another old fashioned for me.”

“Yes, sir. Give me just a minute.”

It didn’t take the prospect long to bring him both drinks. Cypher took them and made his way to the woman.

“You look like you’re looking for someone to talk to,” he said sitting in one of the empty seats at her table. As he looked more closely, she was a little older than he would have guessed. Maybe thirty-two or three. “I thought you might need a fresh drink.” He nodded to the nearly dry cup in her hand as he slid the vodka and lime toward her on the table.

She turned her gaze on him, and he felt her look him up and down as if trying to figure out who he was and if she should talk to him.

“I’m not even sure why I came,” she said with a smile.

“I take it someone invited you?” he asked, hoping she would answer and that would tell him who she was.

“Of course,” she said with a slight curve of her lips as she turned to look across the room. “And I have to admit, it’s nice to see how happy she is here.”

Cypher let his gaze follow hers to where Lacey and Jenna sat together behind the big table at the front of the room. Jenna had made it back and sat down beside her sister, she looked happy but tired and Lacey all but bounced in her seat.

“You a friend of Jenna’s?” he asked.

“No. Not a friend, but she invited me, if that’s what you’re looking for.”

That was something but why would Jenna invite someone who wasn’t a friend?

Chapter Two

Lauren looked at the man sitting at the table with her. He wore the same leather vest as Roadkill and Joker had, so he had to be part of the Savage Warriors. But since she’d only met the two before today, she didn’t recognize him. The close-cropped beard and long hair pulled back out of his eyes conflicted with the intelligent look in his eyes. The tattoos peeking out of the collar and below the sleeves of his t-shirt intrigued her.
