“That was before you rejected my offer to give you both space for two weeks in return for giving me access to her afterwards. I gave you space anyway, might I add. You’ve had more than enough time with her.”
Lux’s gaze turns molten, but suddenly it’s not his gaze I’m worried about. The disgust in Eden’s eyes makes my breath still.
“Give you access to me?” she scoffs.
I grab the back of my neck. “Perhaps that was a poor choice of words—”
“I’m not an object! Were you even going to ask me what I wanted first? Or were you just planning on using me like a whore once Lux was finished with me?”
“Eden,” I start.
“No. It’s disgusting!” Her chest heaves.
“I can’t say I’ve ever agreed more,” Lux sneers. “Now let’s go home, my love.” He reaches for her arm.
“Absolutely not.” She shoves him off as a shocked laugh escapes me. “I heard what you said. You weren’t going to tell me about all this until you decided I was ready. You’re just as bad as him! Talking about passing me around…”
“I would never—”
“But you already have, remember?” Her voice cracks. “Or have you forgotten that you gave Castor permission to have his way with me when I first arrived here?”
I sip my drink. This conversation is already far more entertaining than I thought it would be.
“That was different, little butterfly,” Lux sighs. “He’s my brother. I trust him.”
I snort. “These past two weeks say otherwise.”
“I trusted you to play with her, not fall in love with her! Eden is mine.”
“Are you sure she wants to be?” I ask.
“What the hell are you talking about?”
I smirk. “I think sweet Eden might want to have us both—”
“Where is the bathroom?” She bolts up with her fists clenched.
Laughing, I shake my head.
“I’ll show you.” Lux goes to stand up with her, but she just glares at him. It’s powerful enough that he falls back into his seat, his cheeks flushed.
Perhaps I should show Eden the toy chest while she’s here? She might make good use of some of the whips.
“The toilet is in the garden. Take the black door beside the bar. There’ll be signs,” I tell her seconds before she hurries off.
But it’s only when twenty minutes pass, that we realise just how stupid we’ve been.

EDEN
Ican’t stand swearing, but fuck those princes! Tears blur my vision as I shove open the black door that leads to the toilets. It opens to reveal a narrow hallway lined with more black doors. At the end is a door signposted with the word ‘garden’ written in pretty white letters. I stomp towards it.
Stars, I feel like such an idiot. I wanted so badly to find the good in my situation. I loved Lux once. It was so easy to fall for him again. His charming smile and the smooth way he talks. It was so easy.
But I should’ve known there would’ve been more to this. Lux hid things from me once. Of course he’d do it again. And he’ll probably keep doing it until my stupid heart decides to stop melting every time he looks at me.
Groaning, I scrub a hand over my face. Two mates. I have two princes desperate for me, and seemingly neither are willing to share anymore.
