All thoughts cease to exist. It's just the feeling of him moving through me, dragging me up and up and up…
He doesn’t look at me when I say bye. He’s tossing the condom in the small bin under his nightstand.
It’s not until I get home that I realize Dillon never touched me a single time. He gave me exactly what I asked for, and not a thing else.
Emerson
“Go fish,” Dillon yawns, scratching at his chest over his shirt. The shirt that's on backward and inside out because I called him at midnight, convinced someone was trying to break into my apartment, and he’s a decent enough guy that he came over right away. Grabbing the shirt he was wearing yesterday in his haste to save the baby Bennet.
Night one on my own is going swimmingly.
I pick a card up from the center and sigh. “You can go home, Dill.”
He sets his cards down and falls back on the couch cushion, crossing his arms. I do not oogle the way the muscles of his biceps look. I do not.
“But what if the radiator monster tries to abduct you again?”
Truth is, the idea of him leaving me here makes me want to cry. Not little cries, either. Big, fat, ugly cries.
I was so excited to move out. So, so fucking excited. I’ve been saving and saving from my job at the cafe while I finished cosmetology school. I’ve thrifted the cutest decor over the last several months, and managed to get pretty new furniture. Everything went great with the move, aside from my ma crying about me leaving.
It was all great. The guys all helped me move, and we sprawled out over the boxes and chaos to eat pizza and chill.
Everyone left.
The first thing I noticed was the quiet.
The second thing I noticed was how much I hated it.
The newness went from exciting to…unnerving.
Nothing was familiar. The smells, the sounds, the surroundings. I lay awake on the mattress on the floor in my new bedroom, and that’s when I heard the sound. The rattle, the groan that sounded like someone trying to crank something metal. My mind immediately said it was a thief and a crowbar jammed in my door, trying to break it open.
I called Dillon before I could even consider other options of what it could be. He lives the closest, and was using the key my dad made sure he had to get inside.
He found me in my bedroom, cowering because I figured out what the noise was, and I felt like an ass, because I didn’t call off his rescue.
“Har-har. I’ll be fine,” I murmur, gathering the cards up on the coffee table, then pulling my oversized shirt over my knees where I’ve been sitting on the floor.
Dillon studies me from his position and smirks. “It’s okay to be scared sometimes, dude.”
I scoff, but this only makes him chuckle. “You’re not afraid to admit spiders freak you out, but being nervous about being alone for the first time is a limit?”
“Hard one, apparently,” I grumble.
He stands and stretches, that t-shirt of his inching up to show a peek of his stomach.
“Well, if you’re sure.” He steps literally one fucking step away from the couch, and my whole body tenses. “Actually, maybe I could just crash on the couch? I’m fucking tired, man. Carrying all your tutus and shit wore me out.”
I’m nodding, getting to my feet and scurrying off to find a blanket and pillow. When I hand them to him, cheeks pink, he smirks down at me and knocks his knuckles softly into the center of my chest. “You’ll be good, Em. Don’t stress about it, okay? And if you ever need me, I’ll be here.”

I have a new one. The next time you sneak into my room to use my cock, you’ve gotta at least kiss me goodbye. It’s the least you can do after coming all over my bed.
