Inexplicable

I was ready to toss all caution aside and figure out a way to move to Cherry Cove so we could stay together.

I knew that was insane because we’d only known each other for a few weeks, but I didn’t think my feelings were going to change.

I’d spent days thinking about the way that he’d touched me the night before we’d left for our trip.

God, I hadn’t realized just how much I had to learn about intimacy.

I’d literally come apart when he’d put that wicked mouth on my pussy. I’d flown over the edge in a way that I never had before.

It was embarrassing, but I’d never had an orgasm with a man. I’d always had to take care of my own needs.

Luckily, it had been dark, so he hadn’t been able to see my scars.

At some point, he was going to see my body and all my scars, but it had been so much more comfortable that he’d made me come so hard that it had rocked my world in the dark.

To my disappointment, he hadn’t touched me intimately at night again.

He was holding back for some reason, but I was more than willing to be as intimate with him as possible.

Our road trip had been amazing so far.

Brock had pulled out a bunch of protective equipment for me on the morning we’d left, and he’d insisted on me wearing it whenever I was on the motorcycle.

I didn’t mind any of it.

The boots.

The leather jacket.

The gloves.

The clothes that would cover and protect my skin.

And a helmet with a full-face shield.

I felt completely safe as a passenger because I trusted Brock’s driving implicitly.

I was getting addicted to the feel of being on the bike with him. As soon as I wrapped my arms around him and we were in motion, I felt…free.

This trip with Brock was one of the most incredible things I’d ever done, and we still had days to explore the UP.

We’d had an incredible time on Mackinac Island, and we were currently making ourselves comfortable for an evening of stargazing near Mackinaw City.

I was excited because the dark sky park was going to be a perfect place to view the beginning of a meteor shower.

We’d put our blanket down on the lakeshore, along with our snacks and waters.

I was told that the bugs could be bad, but I hadn’t needed the bug spray since we were into the fall weather now.

It wasn’t terribly cold, but it was definitely jacket weather now.

“You’re not going to fall asleep on me, are you?” Brock asked with amusement.

“How could I?” I asked as I looked up, my head on Brock’s bicep as we laid side by side on the blanket. “Seeing the meteors is too exciting, and this place is amazing.”

He chuckled. “We were up pretty early and it’s getting late.”

“Staying up late is never a problem during a meteor shower,” I said in a teasing voice. “Are you tired?”
