I didn’t hear Jenna’s reply as they moved away from the camera and microphone.

They disappeared from view, and I sucked in a deep breath, willing myself not to lose my shit.

I couldn’t afford that right now.

Jenna was on her way to Ecuador, and I was going to have to act quickly if I wanted to make sure she wasn’t hurt irrevocably.

I had to get to her now.

Right now.

I followed my first instinct and called Marshall.

I quickly explained what happened.

“Shit!” Marshall grumbled. “I’ve been trying to track that asshole, but I haven’t been able to find him. I know he’s somewhere in Guayaquil, and I figured I’d get his address in the next day or two.”

Fuck! Marshall was one of the best hackers in the world. If he couldn’t get Jenna’s location quickly, no one could.

My stomach dropped to my feet.

There was no way I could wait a day or two for the location of this trafficker.

“She’ll end up raped and abused by then,” I said, my voice raw.

“I’ll be searching until I can find him now,” Marshall said gruffly. “But it’s still going to take a little time. I can’t believe this dickhead had the guts to take Jenna from the US. He must be responsible for her missing driver’s license. He got her address. There was no way to anticipate that, Brock. He must have been desperate to get himself out of trouble with his boss.”

“I don’t have time,” I growled. “I’m going to Guayaquil.”

“You’re not going alone,” Marshall said adamantly. “I’ll send Wyatt’s jet and I’ll alert the rest of the team.”

I knew how much time it would take to arrange a rescue.

“I don’t have that kind of time, Marshall. You know what they’re planning for her. She’s a strong woman, but no one should have to go through that much trauma in one goddamn lifetime. I’m going to make damn sure she’s protected from now on.”

My woman would never be vulnerable again, and she’d never live alone.

I was done being patient.

“You have a plan?” Marshall questioned.

I knew someone who could make all this shit stop immediately, before Jenna was harmed, and I’d saved his life once.

At one time, we’d been as close as brothers.

It was years ago, and we rarely spoke anymore, but there was nothing I wouldn’t do to save Jenna pain and suffering.

“I know someone with a connection,” I told him. “He has enough power to end this before she gets to Ecuador.”

“Are you sure you want to do that?” he asked skeptically.

Apparently, Marshall knew what I was planning, which didn’t surprise me.

He knew people on both sides of the law, and I had no doubt he knew every bit of my military history.

“I trust him,” I told Marshall, which was the truth.

“I know you were close at one time, but he’s dangerous. He’s not the same man that he was when he was a Ranger,” Marshall warned me. “How long has it been since you two talked?”
