She points her chopsticks at me. “You know.”
Then she makes a little gun with her fingers.
I stare at her.
She looks completely serious.
“Your family sounds fictional.”
“It gets worse.”
I stare at her. “Worse than family murder?”
“My sister owns alpacas.”
She says it with a perfectly straight face. Not even a blink.
I swear to God, this woman’s family tree needs to come with a disclaimer.
“I have a question,” she announces suddenly.
“Ask away, princess.”
“Did you really punch your ex-company’s president?”
I take a bite of food and nod. “Sure the fuck did.”
Her eyebrows lift.
“That’s nice.”
I pause mid-chew.
Nice?
I set down my chopsticks. “That’s your response?”
She shrugs. “Most people are assholes.”
God, I really like this woman.
I like her a fucking a lot.
“Speaking of violence…”
Her expression immediately brightens.
“I love violence.”
I grin.
I’m sure she does.
“You punched another skater?”
“She deserved it.”
I burst out laughing.
