Oh no.
He steps closer, tilting his head. “So I can take care of that.”
“That’s not because of you.”
“No?”
“No.”
I lift my chin, doubling down. “You actually interrupted me in the middle of a sex session.”
His eyes darken. The playful edge is gone, and he steps forward again, closing more of the space I keep trying to keep.
“Did I now?” His voice drops lower. “And here I thought you only got that hard for me.”
“Don’t flatter yourself.” I step back. The edge of a desk meets the backs of my thighs. “I was busy. Very busy. So tell me what you want so I can leave. Your face makes me sick.”
Kento clicks his tongue softly. He takes another step, savoring the distance shrinking between us.
“Does it now?” He leans closer, and I catch the faint scent of him. “Because the way you’re looking at me says otherwise. And that,” his eyes flick down again, “says a lot more.”
Then his hand shoots out and his fingers fist around my nape as he twists me around. The world spins for a second before my chest hits the desk. I gasp, hands flying out to brace myself, already trying to push back, but his chest presses against me, pinning me.
“I told you not to make me mad,” he whispers. “It’s not good for you.”
A shiver runs down my spine. There is something about the way he manhandles me that just sets me on fire. His free hand settles on my hip, holding me still. “Who were you fucking?”
I grit my teeth. “None of your business.”
He pushes forward, the hard line of his erection grinding against my ass through our clothes. “Answer me.” His voice is softer now, but the demand underneath it is unmistakable. “Was she good? Better than me?”
I realize, a little too late, that I might be wandering into dangerous territory. So I swallow and say, “No one. There was no one. Now let me go.”
“No one,” he repeats, amused. “So this,” another slow grind, “is all for me after all.”
“It’s not.”
“Liar.” His lips brush the edge of my ear.
The hand on my nape disappears, and the pressure behind me lifts, which leaves me a bit disappointed. I turn around, breathing harder than I should be, ready to shove him, stab him, yell at him, something.
Except he doesn’t step away.
He stays right there, crowding me, so now all I’ve really done is trade being pinned for leaning back against the desk with him standing between my legs.
Kento looks down at me with that same unreadable black stare and smooths a thumb over his own lower lip like he’s thinking. “You shouldn’t lie to me.”
“You’ve got to be the least qualified person alive to say that.”
“I never lie to you.”
That’s not true. All he does is lie. He likes saying that he wants me, or that I’m his, when I know he would drop me once he had me. Maybe that’s also why I keep fighting back.
“Why did you bring me here?”
He lifts one hand and brushes his knuckles along my jaw, moving my hair away from my face. “Because I wanted you in my space.”
“Is that all?”
