“Of course we will be.” I don’t actually know, but I’ll never bet against Beth, and I like my idea. If we lock it in next Thursday, more inspiration will follow.
“For now,” I tell her, “we can finish up our clue for this leg of the Dash. It’ll help you feel productive.”
Christmas Dash Rhyme #3
What better way to end our romp
To Dasher Valley’s treasured sites
Than with a crowning Christmas ball
On this, the night of nights.
A glittery evening awaits you
After a long and thrilling day.
So dress in your holiday finest;
join us to eat, drink, and let the music sway.
Take a starlight gondola ride.
Enjoy the company and the view,
Then enter through the main doors
where the grand finale awaits you.
It’s your team’s last chance
To earn Dash points till next year.
Upload your pics of the magical ride
And stuff them full of holiday cheer.
So head North with us.
But it’s not the pole you seek.
The final leg of the hunt
Is happening now at Valley Peak.
The points will be tallied and a winner crowned
Based on effort, spirit, and pace.
Thanks for your participation.
It’s been truly an amazing race.

Spotted: Members of the Dasher Valley Women’s Choir leaving St. Mark’s this evening. When approached for comment their lips were sealed, but we all know what this means. They’ve had their final caroling practice, and they’ll be taking to the streets tomorrow for their annual serenade, at which point their lips will most definitely not be sealed. Will Patrice hit the high note on “O Holy Night” again this year? That remains to be seen. The anticipation is killing this here lowly reporter. Keep your eyes—and ears—open for more updates ASAP.
