Christmas At The Hunt Hotel

“Yeah. Let me take care of you.” I reach for his shirt buttons, unfastening them slowly.

“Georgia, if you don’t stop touching me, I’m going to drag you into the shower with me.”

“And miss out on pizza? No sir.” I grin at him. “Shower, food, then…”

“Sex?” he finishes, hopeful. God, he’s such a man.

“I was going to say Fozzie Bear.” I slide my hand over his pecs and my thighs clench. Every inch of this man’s skin is perfect.

“Now you’ve lost me.”

I trail my palms down to his stomach muscles and he groans. “We’re going to watch The Muppets Christmas Carol,” I tell him. “I’ve been saving it for a special occasion.”

“And this is that occasion?”

“Yes,” I tell him firmly. “You need to relax. And there’s nothing more relaxing than the Muppets. I promise you, you’ll love it. Carbs, Christmas, Kermit, and me. What more could you want?”

His glance drops to my legs. “I can’t think of anything else.” He threads his fingers into my hair, steadying me as he kisses me hard. Enough to leave me breathless and tingling.

And questioning if Kermit the Frog really has any place in my plans for tonight.

“Thank you,” he says when he finally releases me.

“What for?”

“For being the best thing in my day.”

Oh. I like that way too much. “Let’s not go overboard. I haven’t told you what pizza I’m ordering us yet.”

“As long as it doesn’t have anchovies, I don’t think it will ruin my night.”

“What’s wrong with anchovies?” I ask him, pushing him toward the bathroom.

“They’re the devils’ fish.”

“But I like anchovies.”

“So do I. In the sea.”

“Get in the shower and let me handle the pizza order,” I tell him.

He sends me a glance that tells me he wants me to handle more than that.

“Go,” I tell him with a shooing movement. “Before I add pineapple too.”

His groan follows him all the way into the bathroom.

When the shower’s turned on, I head to the old-fashioned cream phone on the dresser and pick it up, ordering a simple margarita and a pepperoni, then I add a bottle of wine to the order because I feel like we both need it after the long day we’ve had.

By the time the shower shuts off, I’ve taken off my clothes and pulled on some pajamas, and slid the blu-ray disc into the player and teed it up, ready to unleash the best Christmas movie in the world onto Theo. I put away my laptop and plump up the pillows so we’ll be able to sit in bed and veg out.

The bathroom door opens and Theo walks out, a white towel wrapped around his waist, the bathrobe loosely on his arms, hanging open to reveal the expanse of his chest.

“There’s a belt, you know,” I point out when he smirks at my obvious ogling.

“Come and do it up then.” The smile pulls harder at his lips. I don’t know what they put in the shower water at this place, but it’s working. He’s all warm skin and cocky smiles.

The knock at the door makes us both jump. “Room service.”
