A Threat, Not A Promise

I frown, softly trailing my thumb over his Adam’s apple. Does he like it when someone takes what he wants? Did this happen with the man standing guard outside too? Fuck Yuki, I’m so jealous he had him first; I see fucking red.

“I can take it,” he says, and I gasp. No one I’ve ever imagined being with has given me what I want. I hate that part of myself, which wants to take someone against his will or pretends to hate it when I’m pushing him against the sheets, but this one squirming underneath me secretly likes it. I’ve paid women to play the part before I bought him, but I could see how scared they were, and I stopped before anything happened. I hate myself enough for liking it when I imagine him begging me to stop, to fight me, to cry when I push his head against the pillow and slide in without any lube or condom.

“I can take it Moon.” He nods and sits up, pushing me up to rest on the back of my knees, and I watch as he pulls the shirt over his head and his shoulders. They strain like he’s shy showing off his naked chest. His hands run over his pecs, and over his taut nipples like he’s trying to show me his modesty. His big eyes catch mine and that’s when I know I’m going to take everything from him. I’ll make him fear me and claim him once and for all. He’ll be screaming my name before I’m done with him. I’ll make sure it’s the last one on his lips before I kill him.

Tokyo

“You know all that crap about having a Chinese husband on TikTok is false,” she says as I open the door to the apartment I bought in Tokyo for her. I scratch the back of my head, what the hell is Moon going to do to Eliot? I smile, probably the same thing I’m going to do to her. Finally making her mine.

“Husband,” I grit out as she throws her shoes on the floor.

“Whatever,” she replies and walks into the living room. She stops in the center of the room taking in her surroundings. “Moon better not be doing anything to El.”

“What about a Chinese husband?” I ask, pushing my hands in my pockets, ignoring her remark. I know for sure Moon is going to kill El.

“For one, you don’t cook.” She points to the shiny kitchen island; she’s right about that one, I don’t.

“I have money to pay for takeout.” I stare out the window and look at Tokyo Tower in the distance.

“How many houses do you own?”

“You own them too,” I tell her, and she stiffens. “Everything that’s mine is yours the moment you signed those papers.”

She sways a little on her feet. “I know for a fact all the men in the family never shared anything with their wives.”

I frown; what does she mean by that? I’m not lying. We’re going to share everything, like Moon is going to do with Eliot when he makes him his husband.

“You’ve been gone with my brother these last couple of months and now I’m suddenly your wife again?” She goes right in for the kill by telling the truth.

I walk to the kitchen island as she watches me. I can’t tell her yet what we’ve been planning, what we’ve been doing to make them truly ours. But one day this is all going to change. “What do you want to drink?”

“Nothing,” she bites out, and crosses her arms in front of her chest. “What’s Moon going to do to Eliot?”

“Probably the same as I’m going to do to you,” I threaten and slam my palms on the marble and exhale hard through my nose, my eyes gliding over her face.

“Me and Eliot were planning to eat the Hello Kitty cake for my birthday. But it’s all shot to shit now, because you two decided to throw a fit and drag us out of there.”

“Do you want some orange juice?” I ask, ignoring her.

“No, are you even listening?” she says. I do just that and grab a glass from the closet and fill it up to the brim. I slide it across the counter, and she catches it with the hand that still has my ring on it. Shit, that makes me even more possessive than I already am. Without saying anything I take a step in her direction, and she bumps into me and spills the drink all over her shirt and pants.

“Really?” She rolls her eyes, and I try to hide my smile behind my hand when she flips me off. Chuckling, I run a hand through my hair.

“Where the hell is your bedr…” she starts, “I mean shower?”

“You wanted to say bedroom?” I laugh, crossing my arms in front of my chest.

She points a finger in my face. “Your shower, asshole.”

I motion up to the second floor and the surrounding balcony. “Take the marble staircase up, there’s a closet opposite the bathroom with clothes for you to wear.”

“Fucking awesome,” she says, and turns around to stomp up the stairs.

I grab her arm and she stops going up. She eyes my hand clutching her arm and bares her teeth at me.

I let her go and hold up my hands apologetically. “I’ll be here waiting.”

I’ve never taken a shower that fast in my life. He doesn’t have a lock on the bathroom door, so I’m sure as hell am not taking any chances. I swathe the towel firmly around my body and step outside. I stare out over the railing, wrapping all the way around the living room and see him sitting on the couch with the music softly audible in the background, playing a Chinese artist I recognize. He stares at the tablet on his lap; I can make out graphics and what looks like investments of some sort.
