A Threat, Not A Promise

“What have you and Eliot got planned for us when we get home?” I ask, trailing open-mouthed kisses across her neck. She turns her head away as I run my lips over her jaw to the corner of her mouth, slowly rubbing her hand over my hard dick.

She makes a protest sound while our eyes lock. Her other hand grabs my arm, her nails digging into my skin and my eyes travel to the back of my head from the pleasure mixed with the pain. “Are you going to string me up and beat the truth out of me?”

She opens her eyes, but I can see she’s high as fuck from the sedative. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” she whispers, and I nod, unable to form a coherent sentence. I stare into her eyes; somehow, she looks older and hurt. I know Moon needs to have a real conversation with her. I wonder if a part of her questions anything about her relationship with him. I know Eliot suspects something. Maybe tonight him and Moon will finally have the heart-to-heart I know they should have.

“How long should we give Eliot to get what he wants from Moon?” I chuckle the moment she huffs. “Yeah, I don’t know what you two have planned, but you slipped up in Tokyo. Not coming to Yuki’s funeral was a red flag, babe.”

She trails the tips of her fingers over my undercut and up to my face, cupping my cheek. I lean into her touch and sigh as a tingling sensation I haven’t felt in a long time travels up my spine. I lick at her bottom lip, while she falls against my chest and presses her forehead against mine.

“Who says he hasn’t already done it?” she questions, and I spot the tears in her eyes. What the hell happened in New York for them to up and vanish without a trace? We tried everything in our books to locate them, but there was a blind spot for six long months where Moon almost lost his mind, and I wasn’t far behind. I took the throne with him by my side after we sidetracked our fathers but not having them next to us, it didn’t mean shit as more money and power started to flow in.

I drag my eyes from her mouth up to her eyes. Her eyelids are heavy, but her pupils are dilated with fear. I recognize it in the men I’ve taken care of. My jacket falls to the floor; the way her nipples pebble against her shirt has my dick twitching again against her hand.

Her eyes flash with desire, or anger, fuck, I don’t care as long as she’ll scream my name before the night is through. She’s stroking me on her own now. I smirk as her eyes narrow. “Screw you,” she breathes, her other hand traveling to my neck and playing with the short hairs there.

“Later,” I murmur, pressing my forehead against hers again and kissing her temple, my lips lingering. My breath comes out shallow, matching the pace of her hand.

I softly move my lips over hers and I can taste the champagne on them. I want her to make me come. I’ve been starving ever since I signed the marriage certificate. That night in Tokyo almost two years ago was the appetizer. Having her here with me again, in a different car but almost in the same position as before, I know I’m done. I need it. I need her. We’re never letting them go again.

My eyes widen watching her part her lips and stroking me harder through my pants. I’m close, but this isn’t right, not when she’s still half sedated. I grab her wrist while she pouts, digging her fingers in deeper, making me whimper when she clutches my balls between those tiny hands.

Her head falls against my shoulder, and she whispers my name, the sound of her voice makes my cock jerk as I grind my hips upward against her hand.

I push her away from me, and she falls back against her seat, her chest still heaving. I run both hands through my hair and close my eyes, biting on my bottom lip, willing myself not to come.

Turning her head in my direction she winks at me. “Are you ready to die?” she asks, her voice small and full of fire at the same time.

I clutch my neck while I lean against the railing of the deck. My feet unsteady as I slam my fist against the wood, hearing him laugh behind me while I let the humid Shanghai air wash over me. He starts to cough, while I’m still trembling all over from the orgasms. “Fuck,” I swear as my cheeks flush, thinking back to what happened in the car a couple hours ago when he abducted me.

His dark eyes lock on mine while he sighs and rests his other hand on the headrest behind my head and licks his lips. “Where do you want me to touch you?” he asks, taking me by surprise.

“I thought you’d never ask.” My head is throbbing, whatever he gave me makes my skin so hot. I know I need to stall for time and give Eliot enough of it to let him do what he came back to Shanghai for. To start again or end it once and for all. Tears rush to my eyes. I hate that I need to let him go.

Tian shakes his head. “You have no idea what you two have been doing to us by vanishing for six fucking months.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” I snap and his eyebrow rises like he’s angry.

“Don’t play with me like this, Dash. Tell me where,” he warns, both hands landing on the steering wheel; I can hear the leather creaking by how hard he holds on.

“You know where,” I say and my cheeks flush.

His smile comes ever so slowly while he presses his fingers against my neck. I know what he’s doing, he learned the move from my brother, and I swear as my eyes start to droop, slumping forward, with darkness engulfing me.

“Say it”.

That’s how the fucker got me out here before I turned the tables on him. He thought he had me when he placed me gently on the couch. Little did he know I had my own plan. I laugh thinking back to the moment I plunged my own syringe in his neck and filled his veins with poison. His eyes widened and he smiled and that fuck went straight to my heart. It took me an hour to get him upstairs and string him up with his own gear.

“You got what you deserved,” I murmur. “Fuck, I missed you,” I confess, while I stare out over the city. I gaze at the empty balcony of the house next door. Both are nestled on the outskirts of the city. Why Tian bought this house when it’s so close to the other, no idea. The city lights that twinkle in the distance make me feel enraged. “I miss you and I hate you,” I repeat again and for the first in a very long time it’s not directed at myself, but at the man I strung up in his own bedroom.

“You’re really going to leave me here all night?” he calls out. “I like the view of your ass, but I can’t feel my fingers.”

I press my palms against my temples and inhale deep through my nose. I need to finish what I started. I need to end us; I need to end him.

“You deserve every single second of the pain,” I throw over my shoulder.

“Damn babe, that’s fucking cold,” I hear him say, while he starts to wheeze again.

I turn to look behind me. His whole body shudders while he coughs the blood dripping down his chin. Fuck, he got loose from the cuffs, but luckily the ropes are still around his wrists, but why the hell is his belt undone? I take another step and see the still wet cum on his stomach.
