“Liar,” I accused him. “You definitely did something because she was ready to get to know me, and suddenly she had a change of heart. Yeah, okay.”
Our eyes locked for a moment, and I caught a quick flicker of emotion crossing his face. Was it guilt? I couldn’t quite tell. For the rest of the night we had so many shots, great food, and hookah.
Drunk me sent a text to my group chat, Fuck These Niggas.
Y’all gotta come to Code Red
It’s a fuckin vibe
I’m tipsy af
Sissy: Are you going home
BFF: Although I had to hear dets from Jamie…
BFF: I’m glad you’re having fun, bestie. Throw that ass in circle for the one time!!
Ayeeeeeee… like shit. I’m bouta be pussy poppin on handstand
Sissy: Justice! Are you coming home?
Idk. Y’all got my lo’. Come outtttt, pretty please.
I wanted my girls with me tonight. Tonight has been the first night since my release when I could just be me. No penny pinching. No watching my back, not that I had to out here, but jail will leave you paranoid as fuck, but with Chance I felt protected.
I put my phone up and started dancing with Chance. We were on the dance floor now. We were basically dirty dancing. My ass was pressed into his erection. The way he stayed connected to me had me hot and ready, like a Little Caesars pizza.
I started grinding into him more slowly now. I wanted to feel him everywhere. Both of his hands were wrapped around my waist. One hand slowly crept up the front, gently rubbing over my breast before he gripped my neck, firm enough to make the back of my head rest on his chest.
I glanced around the dance floor, and my eyes landed on Chyanne again. She was still watching us. I was confused about whether I should trust her, but I knew I didn’t want to think about that right now, so I turned to face Chance. I wrapped my arms around his neck as we danced until I called it quits.
People didn’t realize they told you more when they thought you weren’t paying attention. Prison taught me that, too. Chyanne and Chance’s body language was enough to give me pause. Regardless of how much Chance and I danced and almost kissed tonight, I kept telling myself I would not be going home with him. I was going to tell him to drop me off at my house.
The only thing I hadn’t quite decided was whether I was more scared of the truth… or the fact that, whatever it was, I already liked Chance so much that it might hurt me.
CHAPTER 13
Chance
After a night of straight vibes, despite Chyanne almost fucking up the groove. The night was fucking lit.
“Come home with me?” I asked as we left Code Red. I was now heading to her sister’s house. I knew Justice wasn’t coming home with me before I even asked. But I thought I’d still shoot my shot.
She had relaxed, and her guards were down most of the night, but when we left, I could tell seeing Chyanne pissed her off again. She wanted to know what the side conversations were about. I didn’t have an answer for her.
“Naw, I’m good off you, moe.” She slurred her words a little.
I can’t lie. That shit still pissed me off when she said no. I wasn’t expecting sex, but a nigga had high hopes, especially after the way she was dancing on me.
On god, she had me bricked the fuck up. I ain’t want to do too much since we were at my sister’s place of employment. Justice looked over at me from the passenger seat like I’d asked her to have my baby.
“Why not? I thought we were enjoying ourselves tonight,” I said.
“And was. But I still said no.”
“That’s not really a good reason,” I responded softly, trying to understand.
“It is when it’s my answer. I don’t need to explain myself. I also don’t remember you explaining yourself when you left me alone after I was released.
