Don’t Tie Me Down

My brow furrows when I see Kira’s name light up with a message. I quickly snatch my phone before anyone sees.

Fucking hell.

Kira’s full tits, barely covered in her thin, red lace bra, fill my screen, and I nearly drop my phone trying to close out the image before Luka catches me.

Considering her clothes are identical to what she’s currently wearing, it appears to have been taken in the bathroom sometime today.

I drag my hand down my face with a groan, my nostrils flaring as I glare at the source of my torment. The filthy brat is sending me nudes while she’s flirting with my brother.

I feel my cock already growing stiff beneath my trousers, my ever-present companion lately, and I close my eyes, mentally reciting the World Series champions in reverse order to calm myself down. But it’s no use. The image is burned in my retinas, along with all the other visuals she’s so generously chosen to share with me.

Luka must pick up on the vibe shift, because he narrows his eyes as he looks to the two of them and then back to me. He may not know what’s going on, but he definitely senses something’s amiss.

Steeling my expression, I casually slide the phone into my pocket. The last thing I need is another loose thread in the middle of this fucked up game I’m playing. Besides, I still have to figure out how to go about fulfilling Guy’s request. I don’t need anyone else sniffing around in my personal life.

I need to get out of here. I close my laptop with a little more force than necessary. “I think that covers it. Anything we missed can be communicated through email.”

If Guy picks up on the irritation in my tone, he doesn’t let on. “Sweet. There’s a Premier League game today. I’m going to cut out a little early and watch it at Restaurant.” He gestures back and forth between all of us. “The invitation’s open if anyone cares to join me.”

“I think I’m good. Soccer’s not really my thing,” Kira says, and I find my ears perking up at this new piece of information.

“What do you have against soccer?” Guy asks, like he’s genuinely insulted.

She shrugs. “Not soccer, per se. More like soccer players.”

“What, you get your heart broken by one or something?” Luka asks.

She purses her lips like she’s considering her words. “No, not me. But someone I love. Besides, after being in the entertainment industry, I’ve seen and heard enough to recognize a pattern.”

Guy shakes his head and winces. He holds a hand over his chest like she’s wounded him. “Kira, honey, you’re killing me. I knew our connection was too good to be true.”

She flashes an easy smile and pats him on the shoulder. “Sorry to disappoint, but the only soccer games you’ll find me watching are my niece’s and nephew’s.”

Guy narrows his eyes. “Challenge accepted.”

Kira just shakes her head and laughs. This time, it’s genuine.

I file the new bits of information away to the ever-growing catalog in my brain, along with all the other personal details I’ve collected about her.

“Oh, Roman, I almost forgot.”

I glance up to see her standing over me, wearing a coy smile.

She pulls a manila folder out of the stack of papers she’s holding and slides it across the table. “I just need you to sign off on the sponsorship contracts.”

With the utmost caution, I slowly open the manila folder to find a tiny, red lace thong—that perfectly matches her bra from the photo—sitting on top of the documents.

With a frustrated sigh, I snap the file closed, making sure to hold it firmly so I don’t accidentally drop anything confidential.

“Kira. Could you stop by my office after this meeting? I’d like to discuss where we are with the festival planning.”

Face stoic, she looks over to me. “Sure thing, boss.”

Guy and Luka don’t pay us any mind as they collect their things. They take their time, arguing about who’s going to win the Premier League. As always, Luka’s rooting against Guy’s team. When it comes to sports, I think he may actually be allergic to agreeing with Guy.

The moment they’re gone, I place a hand on the small of her back and steer her straight to my office.

Once we’re inside, I darken the glass walls, giving us total privacy.
