He kissed his way back up my body, unhurried, until his mouth found mine again. I pulled him closer by the back of the neck and kissed him harder, and he made another sound against my mouth. His hand slid between us, slow at first, then his hips moved forward. He paused at my entrance and stared at me. "What do I need, Asha?"

Something in me warmed at the invitation, an invitation that only I would understand. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

He needed me to beg.

“Please, Colsar. Please. Fuck me until I forget. Fuck me until I can't breathe. Fuck me until I am so covered in you that when I return every male creature in Morrath will know who I belong to."

A low growl rose from his chest.

"Please, Colsar," I whispered.

He stared down at me with an intensity I had never seen before.

"Please."

He didn't move.

I ran my hands slowly up his arms.

"Do not deny me," I said, frustration creeping into my voice. "Colsar."

He leaned closer until his lips hovered just above mine.

"Yes?"

"Fuck me."

I reached for him. He caught my wrist before I could touch him, but before he could pin it above my head, I slapped him.

The crack echoed through the room.

A thin line of blood appeared along his lip.

My hands were shaking.

"I said..." My voice broke. "Fuck me."

With a low growl he finally pushed forward, parting me inch by inch. A small ache rose first, unfamiliar after so many months apart, and I gasped against his mouth as my body stretched around him. The ache eased as the fullness grew, until it stole the air from my lungs and left me trembling beneath him.

"More," I bit out.

He grabbed a handful of my hair and began to pound into me until I clenched around him, digging my nails into his back until I drew blood. He paused and looked down at me. Then finally spoke.

"You hit me," he said quietly.

"I have lost my mind, Colsar. That is what you do to me. Do not deny me what was unfairly taken away."

My hands began trembling.

He threaded his fingers through mine.

"I was not trying to deny you. That wasn't dominance." His voice was quiet. "I was trying to reconcile the woman I thought died with the woman beneath my hands."

He swallowed.

"When I reached you, you were already dead, Asharin."

His thumb brushed across my knuckles.
