“Oh God, Cash, yes! Give it to me!” I cry.

He groans, and I’m close too, panting right with him, arching my body into his as we both approach the summit of bliss.

“Come with me, Ivy,” he demands.

My body tightens at his sensual command as the place he pushed me toward has me tipping right on the edge.

“Oh God,” I scream. “Cash, yes!”

I burst into my climax as pleasure takes hold in a way I’ve never experienced before, and he flies off the edge right alongside me, both of us falling apart yet somehow becoming more whole as we cry and moan each other’s names.

The pleasure is so deep and intense that it rides a soft line near painful as he bursts inside of me, giving me everything he has to give as he growls my name. The warmth of him spreads through me, connecting us intimately in a way that will always be tied to this moment, to this feeling between us.

Once the crest of the wave of pleasure has passed, he collapses down on top of me, both of us breathless and sweaty after that full, hot workout.

“Happy birthday,” I murmur sleepily.

“Best gift ever. And I’m gonna need another shower,” he murmurs, and I can’t help a giggle.

“I’ll go with you.”

“I’m not ready to move yet,” he says.

“I’m not ready for you to move yet.”

He pulls back a little and presses his lips to mine, and this kiss is slow and luxurious, a contrast to the way he fucked me with such ferocity just a few seconds ago.

And it’s these sweet and sensual moments between us that I really start to believe we can make it together.

I just wish I could stay here a little longer…and believe that a little longer, too.

“It’s the birthday bitch!” West says when I walk into the locker room the next morning. “You spend the whole night naked with your hot wife?” The way he says wife with a heavy dose of sarcasm makes my hackles rise.

“Fuck off, West,” I mutter. “Your dumb ass almost got me into trouble with my hot wife.” I say the word more deliberately.

“The silent auction?” he asks.

I nod. “I told you not to, but you did. Dex somehow found out, and I ended up having to pony up over twenty-six K because he put my name down.”

West starts to laugh, and I don’t like it.

“I don’t like you calling my wife hot. I don’t like you indicating that this isn’t real. And I really don’t like you interfering with what’s quickly becoming my family.”

He rolls his eyes. “Fuck off with that nonsense. We are your family. Always have been, and still will be when the truth comes out.”

“Why would the truth come out now?” I ask, but a sick feeling twists in my gut.

“Truth about what?” Tomas, another center on the team, asks. He’s the one I usually face off against when we scrimmage.

I give West a pointed look to shut the fuck up about it. We don’t need this spreading any further than it already has.

“Oh, he got married on a drunken bet,” West says, and clearly he missed my pointed look.

“You got married?” Tomas asks, clearly missing all the local team news over our break.
