I sighed. “Okay. So…here’s the plan, then. We all head to bed. We get some rest.” I pointed to Andrew. “You stop thinking about moving on and do what Owain does.”
That got me a frown.
“What does Owain do?” Owain asked, narrowing his eyes. I tapped the tip of his nose with my finger and smiled.
“He believes,” I said.
He beamed at me so hard I thought I’d faint, swaying on his feet and getting closer to me. I wrapped my arm around his waist and pulled him against me.
“All right,” I said as I marched Owain away from the third floor. “DISPERSE!”

Owain hadn’t taken his eyes off me since I’d called an end to our impromptu ghost meeting. I had to tell him to step down each stair like a child and watch his feet randomly flail out to find solid ground.
Needless to say, I half carried him down to avoid an injury.
His admiration felt like a new pair of shoes, and I was used to people admiring my looks, not my actions. I didn’t know if they were going to start rubbing and give me blisters, or if they were about to be the best shoes of my life.
It was a strange experience.
“Did Harri and Larri completely break everything before Andrew hulked out?” I asked.
Owain just hummed absently.
“Harri and Larri,” I said slowly. “Did they break shit?”
I got another dreamy hum in answer.
I turned and steadied him with hands on his hips. “Owain…”
“Ryan.”
I could have sworn his pupils were heart shaped. I shook my head and snapped my fingers in front of his face.
He scrunched his nose in annoyance and batted my hand away. “You’re blocking my view.”
“You just want to stare at my face?”
A spark entered his eye and he tilted his head. “No. Go to your room and I’ll meet you there in five minutes.”
The whiplash almost had me filing a lawsuit and requiring a brace.
“Owain—”
“I’ll be there now in a minute!” he called back to me as he spun around and raced off like an over-excited puppy.
What does that even mean?
Thoroughly confused, I walked back upstairs and into my room, unsure where to place myself when I got there.
I ended up standing in the middle of the floor like a socially awkward hedgehog, spinning when I heard the door open behind me a minute later.
I watched Owain close the door and lean back against it in interest. He was biting his lip and looking at me a certain sort of way that made my dick perk up.
