Hattie laughs. “No more kissing until after your lesson is finished, I promise.”

Tripp sighs in relief.

A door slams in the distance and Blair steps out of the new guest cabin that Owen and his team are building. She looks fighting mad, and Owen is hot on her trail.

The two of them are bickering about something, but Lord knows what. Those two are oil and water.

“I better go settle today’s argument.” Hank blows out a breath. “It’s worth breaking up a few arguments once in a while when I haven’t had to respond to an email in months, though.” He winks and strides toward Owen and Blair.

Hattie grimaces, taking a moment to help Tripp onto Oakley’s back. “Thankfully, the new guest cabin is almost finished, and then those two won’t have to work together any longer.”

Hattie groans. “Well, I guess we’re in for several more months of entertainment.”

I chuckle, leaning in and giving her one last kiss. “I can think of much better ways to entertain ourselves than listening to those two argue.”

Hattie playfully pushes me away, but I don’t miss the way her eyes twinkle. “You can show me a few of those ways tonight.”

“Can’t wait.” I smack her ass as I walk away, smiling to myself like the luckiest son of a bitch on the planet—because, hell, I am the luckiest son of a bitch on the planet with Hattie by my side.
