Once I’m back home, alone in my apartment and showered with my jammies on, my bed suddenly feels way too big for only myself. The air is growing colder at night now that it’s October, and I bet Colby would keep the blankets so warm. With his big muscular body and skin that always seems hot to the touch.

I reach over for my cord to plug my phone in, seeing I have missed texts from the girls. I laugh through my nose; I should’ve expected this.

Mel

So? How’d it go?

Andie

Yeah, we need details on your kissing lesson!

Mel

Maybe they’re still kissing?

Andie

He had to give her a VERY thorough lesson. *wink emoji*

Mel

Okay, it’s been like four hours, Noel!

Andie

You have to come up for air eventually!

I chuckle to myself as I type out a response.

Noel

Wow, sorry girls. The kissing lesson was quite educational. I think my skills have grown immensely.

Andie

But the real question is… will you need more than one lesson?

Mel

Or did one lesson do the trick?

I know what they’re really asking. They want to know if we talked about our feelings, if we’re going to keep seeing each other without the ruse of Colby being my dating coach.

Noel

Colby has agreed to continue my lessons for as long as I’d like. I think I’ll need them for a very long time.
