I thought we were done, but then he dropped down and put his mouth on me again, his tongue moving slow and deliberate, making me scream his name.
I didn't know what to say. Didn't know how to process what had just happened. All I knew was that I'd never experienced anything like that before, and I wasn't sure I'd ever be the same.
When he finally pulled back, I couldn't move. My legs felt like they'd stopped working, my breath coming out in short, uneven bursts. I stayed bent over the armrest, gripping the couch like it was the only thing keeping me upright.
After everything was over, I stayed bent over the armrest for a minute, trying to catch my breath and get myself together. My legs were still a little shaky, and I wasn't about to move too fast and end up on the damn floor.
Cassian stepped away to take care of himself, and when he came back, he had a warm towel in his hand.
“You good, ma?”
“Yeah, I'm good.”
“You sure? You ain't moved yet.”
“Because I'm trying to get my damn legs to work, Cassian.”
He busted out laughing. “Damn, baby. It's like that?”
“Don't start with me.”
“I'm just asking.” He laughed again before reaching for my hand. “Come on, let me help you sit down.”
I let him help me straighten up before guiding me over to the couch. Once I was sitting comfortably, he used the warm towel to help me clean up.
“You need anything?” he asked when he finished.
“Some water would be nice.”
“Aight. Hold on.”
He headed into the kitchen and came back with a bottle of water. I thanked him before taking a few sips and setting it on the coffee table.
Cassian sat down beside me, and for a little while, neither of us said anything. I wasn't even sure what to say. I had enjoyed myself, but now that everything was over, I was starting to think about what had just happened between us.
“You cold?” he asked.
“A little.”
He reached for his shirt and handed it to me. “Here, put this on.”
I slipped it over my head, and the damn thing was so big it almost looked like a dress on me.
Cassian laughed when he saw me.
“What?” I asked.
“Nothing. You look good in my shit.”
“Boy, please.”
He laughed again before settling back against the couch. I took another sip of my water, trying not to think too much about the fact that I was sitting here wearing his shirt after we'd just slept together.
“You quiet as hell,” he said after a while.
“I'm just tired.”
“That's all?”
