“Let's take down Harlow!” he shouted loudly, and the guys behind him joined in with a roar.
“Damn, he's right! What are we waiting for?” I heard a voice from the Copelands' corner. Cody. He jumped up, but Emely immediately pulled him back into his seat and talked to him with a serious expression.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Adrian get up.
“Where are you going?” asked Miles, who, surprisingly, was still sitting.
“To move my car before some idiots get any stupid ideas.”
With that, he pushed past us with a grumpy look on his face and entered the crowded center aisle.
Students immediately stopped to let him pass.
In the aisle, he put on his sunglasses, straightened his shirt collar, and marched with determined steps behind the euphoric crowd into the corridor, which was gradually joined by more and more people.
“And for those of you still sitting in the lecture halls,” the hacker's deep voice rang out one last time. “Enjoy the day off. It will be the last one this month.”
Before I could analyze his words, a horrible beeping sound rang out.
I covered my ears.
“Fuck!” I groaned in pain.
“What the...” Miles groaned, and did the same as me, as did all the other students who were now crowding into the aisle, their faces contorted in pain.
I felt Miles’s hand on my back, gently pushing me into the aisle. And we left the lecture hall with the rest of the students.

“Holy shit!” I blurted out, my eyes widening as I stepped outside onto the wide campus lawn with Julie and Miles. “Look at that!”
Loud music blared from the parking lot, where a horde of hyped-up guys were jumping around on the hoods of the professors’ cars.
They were wielding rattling spray cans, leaving black, white and pine-green lettering and smeared purple eye symbols on the windshields, while a few girls wrapped fluffy garlands of the same colors around the cars and handed the guys confetti cannons, which were immediately fired with loud bangs.
More guys arrived with huge stereos, which they placed around the cars to amplify the music, while more and more curious students gathered around the scene with their phones.
I couldn't help but grin with mischief. A spark of adrenaline ignited in my chest, and I inhaled the smell of spray paint into my lungs.
“That hacker,” Miles laughed in amazement, as if he respected the guy.
Only now did I notice that a particularly large crowd had gathered around the convertible in the center of the parking lot. Harlow’s car.
The guy with the scruffy blond hair who had been the first to storm out of the lecture hall earlier pulled another guy with a dark green paint bucket onto the hood of the car.
“Show her, Jack!” he shouted into a megaphone.
Where had he gotten that so quickly?
The crowd began clapping rhythmically to the music, and when said Jack lifted the bucket, they began cheering him on as if it were a matter of life and death.
And while a professor managed to hastily steer his car out of a parking space and escape from five girls with spray cans, Jack emptied the thick dark green liquid over the open terracotta convertible with the cream seats.
Loud cheers rang out.
“Harlow will be happy,” Bayla laughed with satisfaction next to me.
