“Want to know what?”
“You didn’t kiss me on the mouth this time.” Remy had a question in his eyes. “Do you not like that? The other night—should I not have?”
Jed didn’t like that question on Remy’s face. He wanted Remy’s smile back.
“I think you could tell how much I liked it.”
Remy frowned. “Okay. So, like, is there a reason you didn’t, now?”
“I just—” It felt like too much to admit that he’d been caught up in watching Remy’s reactions play out over his face, but he didn’t know what else to say, other than some version of the truth. “I wanted to look at you.”
And damn if Remy didn’t smile sweetly at that and tilt his head back like he was offering up his lips, leaving Jed no choice but to taste him. Forget making it to the bedroom. Remy met him eagerly, pushing into Jed like he still had as much need as when they’d started.
Jed didn’t know how long they kissed like that, hot and hard. He thought maybe he could kiss Remy forever. But Remy had other ideas. Eventually, he pulled back, eyes glazed, breathing hard, and slipped his hand down to the zipper on Jed’s jeans.
“Can I?” he asked.
Jed nodded, and Remy unzipped him and pulled his cock out, hand scorching against Jed’s sensitive skin. Jed captured Remy’s mouth again, kissed him hard and messy, and tried to focus on how good Remy’s tongue felt tangling with his so that he didn’t come like a teenager as Remy worked his hand up and down, caressing the tip with each pass.
He managed to hold off for a minute or two, but then Remy started grinding into his thigh again, making little moans that shot to Jed’s core. Jed pulled back, lifted Remy’s hand away, and reached for Remy’s dick, which was still out and already rock hard again. He spit into his hand, wrapped it around them both, and thrust into it roughly, pinning Remy’s body against his to hold him steady.
“Oh, God.” Remy turned his face away, resting his open mouth on Jed’s shoulder like he wanted to bite down and hanging onto Jed with both hands. “It’s too much. Don’t stop. Fuck. Please, please.”
“Wait for me.” Jed wanted to hear the words again, wanted to hear Remy on the brink and desperate.
“I can’t.”
“You can.”
Jed thrust a few more times against him, lost in the slide of skin on skin and the way Remy’s teeth dug into his shoulder a little bit more with each pass, like he was so close but was determined to make it last until Jed was ready. His own heart was pounding, and he was sweaty and so close.
Too close.
“Now,” Jed said.
With a gasp, Remy came, warm and sticky all over Jed, who gave a few more thrusts and then followed him with a low moan. They stood there for a minute, breathing hard, Remy’s weight heavy against Jed again. Jed wanted nothing more than to keep holding him like that, but Remy was clearly spent.
“Let’s clean up and go to bed.”
“Hmm?” Remy asked, not lifting his head.
“Let me clean you up, and then come to bed with me.” It came out sounding like a command. Jed had never spoken to a lover like that before, but Remy seemed to like it, because he burrowed in closer and gave a contented sigh before stepping back.
“Okay.” Remy pressed a last sloppy kiss against Jed’s mouth and stood there quietly while Jed cleaned them up and followed Jed to the bedroom without another word. Then he pulled off all his clothes, climbed under the covers, and turned and rested his forehead on Jed’s shoulder when Jed slid in on the other side.
“That was really good,” Remy murmured, and Jed found his hand and squeezed it, lost for words.
Jed woke up first, like he always did. Remy was sleeping soundly, facing Jed, dark hair falling over his forehead. Jed let himself linger a moment, studying Remy’s face—the curve of his lips, the shell of his ear.
He didn’t know what the fuck he was doing, and he couldn’t stop. He hadn’t felt this way, ever. It was amazing and terrible, and it would probably be over as soon as Remy woke up and gave him a good look in the light of day, so he might as well take what he could while Remy was still sleeping.
He didn’t want to leave Remy there, so he sat up against the headboard and started scrolling through the news, wondering if he was being weird. It had been years since he woke up in the same bed with someone and even longer since he hadn’t wanted to leave.
When Remy woke up, he rolled onto his back, stretched like a cat, and turned his face up to Jed with a sleepy, satisfied smile. Thrust his hips up a little, as if Jed would otherwise miss the outline of his erection straining against the sheet.
“Good morning.”
“Good morning. Sleep okay?” Jed thought he sounded absurdly formal, but damn it, he wasn’t used to having a guy who turned him upside down looking at him like that in his bed. Or anywhere.
