“Actually, I had something else in mind.” She drew it out like a deep, dark secret.
My ears perked up at that. “Like?”
With a sultry grin, she grabbed my hand. “I want to dance.”
I laughed a low sound, stood, and drained my whiskey. “Any chance to get next to you, you won’t find me complaining.”
I set my glass aside, then Elena turned and started to lead me into the fray.
I nearly stalled out when I saw what was imprinted on the back of her black tee.
It was the Crimson Crows’ logo but arching over the top of it were four little words.
Property of the Heathen.
I didn’t know what it was that made possession go bounding through my system.
Way I hooked an arm around her waist and tugged her back against my chest, the other hand going up to her throat so I could tilt her head back.
My mouth dropped to her ear. “What do you think you’re trying to do to me, Little Apple?”
“What I’ve been trying to do all along. Show you that I’m yours.”
I spun her around as I urged us into the mob. Into the thriving bodies that swallowed us whole.
Until we were standing right in the middle.
It’s what I’d always wanted to do.
Claim her right out in the open.
“That’s right. You’re mine.” I splayed my hand over the small of her back as I wedged my knee between her legs.
She immediately started to move, both swaying to the music and rubbing herself on the top of my thigh.
Lust barreled through my body.
So intense my fucking head spun.
“I’m yours in every way, Heathen.”
I groaned. “Need to get you out of here. Right now.”
We were still living at her apartment until the renovations on the small house were complete. It was going to be the most painful ten-minute ride of my life because I couldn’t wait to get inside her.
I snatched her by the hand and angled her through the crowd.
I could feel the rush of her anticipation.
Desire wrapping over me in a shimmery coat.
I tossed open one side of the swinging doors and pulled Elena out into the night.
The bonfire roared.
The flames rising high to lick against the star-studded sky.
A slew of bikers and bunnies gave themselves over to the mood.
