Me: Both. It's called The Bishop's Temptation.
Bishop: Jesus Christ.
I laugh quietly.
Bishop: Is it good?
Me: Unfortunately, yes.
Bishop: Wish I was there to try it.
I lean against the bookshelf.
Me: Me too.
A few seconds pass.
Bishop: Sorry I couldn't make it tonight, Becks.
Me: Don't be. I know you have games.
Bishop: Still would've liked to see you all dressed up.
Me: You saw me dressed up at the gala.
Bishop: Trust me, Becks. I remember every damn second.
Me: Every second?
Bishop: Especially the ones where I was trying not to stare at you.

Me: Maybe I'll save the outfit for when you get home.
Bishop: Now you're just being cruel.
My cheeks warm.
I take another sip of my drink before typing.
Me: Can I ask you something?
Bishop: Always.
Me: Why 22?
There's a pause.
Long enough that I wonder if he's been distracted.

Bishop: We've been over this.
