"I, uh…" More blubbering like a fool. Just great. I grab a pot of coffee and head his way, hoping my skin cools off on the short walk.
"Quite the charmer huh, Mr? I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."
He smiles, forking another bite of pancakes into his mouth – his perfectly sculpted mouth that covers his perfect white teeth and sits above his perfectly chiseled jaw.
He takes his time chewing while I wait for him to respond. "I never said it,” he replies, taking a drink of his fresh coffee before I can warn him.
"Wait that's..." he finishes and sits the mug down.
"Hot," I offer.
"I like it hot." This time his smile is full on and directed at me. Forget panty melting; this smile... It's full-on ovary exploding.
It seems Mr. Silent Somber Suit has turned into the spawn of Casanova and Chatty Cathy.
"Let me know if you need anything," I respond, turning to go once more.
"Ketchup," he calls.
"Excuse me?" I whip me head around.
"Ketchup," he smiles. And now, I know he's just screwing with me.
"Seriously, for what?"
A harsh throat clearing that sounds like a choking bear catches my attention. I find Vince leaning on the counter, watching us like a bad soap opera. "Since when do we talk to customers like that?" he questions, holding up a bottle of ketchup.
"You're right. I'm sorry." I swipe the nearest bottle of ketchup and take it to Mr. Suit.
"M'Lord." I all but courtesy as I step away.
"It's Ben, actually," he offers, holding my attention with his captivating gaze.
"Ben." I try out the sound of his name on my lips. And upon doing so, I'm pretty sure I hear him groan. Seems I'm not the only affected by our encounter. "Well, nice to meet you, Ben."
"And you as well, Alexa." His smiles are becoming more frequent, and yet the effect never lessens.
"Although, Lord Ben does have a very nice ring to it. Don't you think?" he asks.
"It depends."
"On what?"
"If your last name is Lannister or Stark."
"It's neither, but the North remembers."
And just like that, I think I found the man of my dreams. He eats pancakes for dinner, he’s charming, he's gorgeous, and he speaks Game of Thrones. I can't help but return his smile.
“Well, looks like we have more in common than I thought,” I inform him, sliding into the booth opposite him.
