Doe-eyed and innocent, she bats her dark lashes. “Don’t get cute, cowboy.”
“Saved you some coffee.” My eyes trace the silk garter that tightly hugs her toned thigh.
“I saw that. How gallant.” She leans in, my mouth meeting hers, and we consume each other with an animalistic need I never thought possible.
My cock stirs. Restraint flies out the window as I slide my hand up her shirt to palm her breast.
“Cole,” she breathes, her pink mouth open, her eyes glassy with desire. I kiss her, clenching my fingers in the strands of her silky hair. Her soft whimper has me undone.
The girl I fucking love.
The slam of the screen door. Delilah breaks the kiss, twisting in my arms.
“We have phones,” I snarl.
“Tried that.” Ezra rounds the corner, a frown on his face.
I curse when I see my phone’s died.
Smoothing a finger over his mustache, Ezra scans the table. The strange yogurt Delilah made last night. “Why are you eating birdseed?”
“Because Delilah tells me to,” I grunt.
Her grin brightens the universe. “I do breakfast, and he does dinner, and that’s how we work.” She hops off my lap, adjusts her shirt. “Hi, Ez.”
“Hey, Del.” Ezra lifts my cup, sniffs it, looks at me thoughtfully.
“Just black coffee.” Since Delilah came into my life, I haven’t needed that whiskey in my coffee cup to get through the morning. I only crave Delilah. That electric snap in my blood I get when she’s near me.
Ezra nods, an impressed look overtaking his face, before it turns serious. “I got bad news.”
“What?”
He hesitates, his eyes sweeping over me then locking on Delilah.
“You can say it,” I demand, wanting him to know I trust her. My brothers need to see that. To know she’s here for good.
“The USB. Chili cracked it.”
Delilah moves to my side, and I reach for her hand.
“And?”
“I haven’t seen it yet.” Ezra’s pale beneath his glasses, his throat working in a hard swallow. “But from what River’s told me, it’s bad, Cole. It’s fucked.”
A gasp from Delilah.
“Shit.” My gut knots.
“They want us down at the shop. Right now.” He looks between the two of us.
Delilah’s small hand slides over my shoulder. “I’m going with you.”

Syd’s frowning when we enter the shop. “You owe us, Cole.”
I grimace at his words, a swirl of anxiety tightening my chest, but stick out a hand to make peace. “We’ll fix it. Whatever it is.”
