My Forever Sin

“Were you trying to run?”

I can’t see him well in the shadows, he’s merely a tall figure that has a thrill rushing through me.

“I wouldn’t. You may never know who’s watching.” He begins to circle me.

“I wasn’t running.”

He snorts lightly as he disappears behind me. “You’re too predictable.”

My fists clench and my teeth grind together.

“I wouldn’t blame you,” he whispers in my ear, and the air behind me pulls like a tightrope. “I need you to hear me out. I need to explain”

My muscles contract and I whirl towards him.

“Jordie—” he starts, but I put my hand up.

“I saw and heard everything I needed to see that night. I don’t need to hear anything more from you,” I spit.

He closes the space between us in a flash. His hand clamps around my neck, halting me mid-breath. My eyes trail to his infuriatingly sensual lips as his face becomes clearer in whatever moonlight there is, and mine tingle with the memory of what it felt like to kiss him.

“Jordie—”

“Stop, Kain. Whatever bullshit you have to spew, I don’t want to hear it.”

I try to retreat but Kain’s hand flies out to the small of my back, pressing me into him and dragging my face towards him so that his breath fans over my lips. There’s an inferno of rage building inside me as I feel his hardness pressing into the top of my stomach.

Is he hard right now?

“You’re going to hear it, or I’ll tell mummy dearest how much you really want to bounce on your stepbrother’s cock.” There’s a dark, challenging undertone in his statement. “What do you think the punishment for that would be?”

Samuel’s face flashes in my mind, but I shut it out, swallowing the lump in my throat.

“Do you think they’d send you back to St Anton’s?”

I growl, thrashing against him but it’s fruitless. My body is half numb and my head feels like it’s under water.

“Better go get your hard-on sorted out with Lacey.” My words come out sluggish.

Shit. What the fuck?

I feel his lips pull into a lazy smirk.

“Are you jealous, Jordie?” He inches his hand to the globe of my ass, and I pathetically slap at them, not quite wanting him to stop. “This is the second time she’s affected you like this.”

My heart is threatening to rip out of my ribcage. My fingers tingle with the need to draw him closer, to run my tongue along his carved abs.

“Why would I be jealous of her? She’s marrying a liar.”

He chuckles. “A liar that would fuck her real fucking good every night.”

My face twitches at that, something swooshing in my stomach, but I force a smirk. “I bet Asher could fuck me better than you ever could anyway.” I smirk.

Fuck. Where did that come from? I wouldn’t even want to think about Asher that way. Is that bile rising up in my throat?

Whatever I can see of his eyes darken, and it sends a shiver of anticipation through me. He carefully studies my eyes again as he slightly tightens his grip on me.

I’m so fucking horny; I’m practically weeping with need and he’s not helping.
