“As long as I have you by my side, Colten, I want it. We can make LA a fucking powerhouse, just like I always knew it could be. And I get to stay here, I get to be home.”

He lets out a shaky breath.

“We can always split our time between the two?” he adds.

I shake my head. “No. I’ve lived in LA enough years to know that is not what I want in life anymore. I want to be right here, on this ranch.” I pause, taking his hand and placing it on my belly.

“I want kids, Colten. I want them to grow up here. And I want to love them in a way I never was. Let Dom and whoever else that works for us do the hard work; it’s about time we took advantage of making it to the top.”

He leans in, brushing his stubble against my jaw, making me shiver.

“You want my babies, huh?”

“I want to build a family, and a legacy with you, Mr. Sterling.”

He kisses my throat, so I tip my head back to give him better access.

“Then, I think we’re ready to put our proposal forward, don’t you?”

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED FOUR

Colten

The second Hunter's front door opens, Lola barrels into Gianna and hugs her. “I was so worried about you,” she tells G.

Taking a step back, I let them have their moment and spot Hunter coming from the dining room, nodding to me.

I’m giving Gianna her moment. Before I whisk her away. There is a way we can have everything, and I’m damn well making sure it happens for her. Because after all the shit Gianna has had to endure in her life, she deserves to be happy.

And I will be the man who gives it to her. All of it. Every last thing she wants. For the rest of my life, that’s my mission.

Because Gianna Sterling is what makes me happy. She was the key to my life this whole time.

“You don’t need to worry about me, Lola. I always figure a way out of it.” She pauses, looking back at me. “Or my husband comes to my rescue.”

I shove my hand into my pocket. I’d fuckin’ die for her.

After they chat for a while, I lightly rest my hand on Gianna’s back and say, “Enzo is waiting for us, baby.”

She nods in response. “Let me know what date for our spa day,” she says to Lola as we head towards the dining room.

She stops in front of the door, and I frown.

“You okay, viper?”

She grabs the front of my shirt and drags me down for a kiss. When she pulls back, she’s smiling, wiping off her red lipstick from me.

“I am now.”

With that, she pushes open the door, and I follow behind her to our seats. Head of the table, next to each other.

None of this opposite-sides crap anymore. Together. Always.

Enzo to our left, Hunter to our right.

“You did good for us, Gianna. Thank you,” Enzo opens with.

“It wasn’t really much of me, Enzo. You guys saved my ass.”
