“You do?” Dom sounded skeptical.

“I want more than forty-five minutes.” Gavin kissed the center of his other palm. “And I’d like at least one door between us and your daughter when I finally get you naked.”

Dom blushed. “When?”

“If,” Gavin corrected, but he didn’t sound like he meant it. “If I get you naked.”

“You didn’t mean if.”

“No.” Gavin’s gaze dropped over him, slow enough to make Dom’s skin feel like Gavin was actually touching him. “I didn’t.”

There was no reasonable response to that, so Dom leaned forward and kissed him. Gavin cupped the back of his head and kept him there for two seconds, then a third. The kisses were slower now but no less dangerous, and Dom felt each one in the tightening low in his stomach. When they separated, Gavin helped him down from the island. Dom’s legs were unsteady enough that Gavin’s smile turned smug.

“So this seems like a good time to ask,” Gavin said with a smile. “How are my chances for that second date?”

Dom pretended to think about it, even though he’d started considering the team schedule before they left the coffee shop. “We have a day game Friday.”

Gavin’s brows lifted. “And?”

“And a night game on Saturday.”

“Are you asking me out, Dom?” Gavin couldn’t stop his smile from growing.

“I’m just telling you when I’m available.” Dom shrugged. “What you do with that information is up to you.”

Dom looked everywhere but at Gavin, but Gavin waited him out, and Dom sighed heavily.

“Fine. Dinner Friday?”

Gavin smiled. “I’d like that.”

“You can pick the place.”

“That’s generous of you.” Gavin couldn’t help but press another kiss to Dom’s lips when he rolled his eyes. He stood and pulled his keys from his pocket. “I’m gonna head out before she wakes up, but I had a really good time today.”

“Me too,” Dom said. His face warmed as the memory of what they’d just done flashed through his mind.

“I love how you blush.” Gavin reached out and drew Dom toward him, then dropped a kiss where his neck met his shoulder before bringing his lips to Dom’s ear to whisper, “I can’t wait to find out all the ways I can make that happen.”

Dom groaned and pulled away. “That was mean.” But he linked his fingers with Gavin’s as they walked to the front door.

Gavin pulled open the door and turned back to look at him. “Friday. Six?”

“Six would be perfect.”

“Then I’ll see you both at six.”

Dom raised his brow. “I can ask—”

Gavin kissed him again. “You’re a package deal. I’ll see you both at six.”

Gavin stepped away, but Dom grabbed the front of Gavin’s shirt and pulled him down for one last kiss. “Sounds good,” he whispered.

Gavin stepped onto the porch, smiling, and Dom watched until he reached his truck, then closed the door and locked it behind him.
