Finally, the front gate of the compound comes into view and I let out a breath, smashing the button to open the gate. It slowly starts sliding open.
Goddamn it.
Motherfucker.
I’m buying a new motor for this stupid fucking gate myself.
As soon as it opens enough for me to slip my bike through, I race on to the compound, passing Joe in the guard shack. I nod to him and point to the gate behind me to make sure he closes it and he nods in return.
That’s all the confirmation I need.
We fly past the clubhouse and take the road to the back of the property. My new house is back there, nestled between Henn and Ink’s houses. Just across the gravel road from my driveway is the back fence of the compound and I liked that spot so I could keep an eye on things back there.
The house comes into view and I smile.
It’s various shades of brown and blends into the dense forest around it without disappearing. The landscaping isn’t finished yet but that will get done in the next week or two. Everything else is exactly the way I designed it and my stomach flips as I wonder what Lennon is going to think.
We pull into the driveway and stop in the parking area right outside the front door. There is another path that heads around to the back of the house where my garage is but I want her to walk through the house from the front door.
“What is this?” she asks as soon as I kill the engine and I climb off the bike, holding my hand out to her.
“Your surprise.”
She laughs, peeling the leather jacket off and setting it on the seat in front of her. “Okay, but my questions still stands. What is this?”
“Uh,” I say, looking back at the house that I spent six months painstakingly designing. I run my hand through my hair. “This is my house.”
Her jaw drops and she meets my eyes. “It’s finished?”
“Yeah. The builders called me yesterday and said she was ready to live in.” I hold my hand out to her and she takes it, climbing off the bike as she stares up at the house.
“It’s beautiful, baby.”
My shoulders straighten and I suck in a breath as a smile spreads across her face.
“Come see the inside,” I say, lacing my fingers through hers and she takes the helmet off, setting it on the seat before we start making our way to the front door. There is a little porch on the front, just big enough for two chairs and a table with a balcony the same size on the floor above us.
“This is so cute,” she whispers and my chest swells. I open the front door and usher her inside. Immediately inside the door is a little dining room area. Beyond that is the kitchen and off to our left is the two-story vaulted living room. In the corner of the room is a u-shaped staircase that leads to the second floor and just past the kitchen is a hallway that leads to the guest bedroom, a bathroom with laundry and the garage.
“Dalton,” she breathes, taking in all the details, her eyes roaming over every single surface. “This is beautiful.”
I step up behind her, placing my hands on her hips as I press my lips to the top of her shoulder.
“I’m glad you like it, sweetheart.”
“It feels… warm,” she says, leaning back into me and a smile spreads across my face. It does feel warm but I think that’s mostly because she’s here. She makes everything feel warm. I hum my agreement, kissing and nipping along her shoulder to her neck and she releases a breath, her eyes fluttering closed.
“You’ve been teasing me, baby,” I scold and she grins, moving her hips back into me and rubbing her ass against my cock.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
I slip my fingers under her tank top, skating them across her belly and goosebumps erupt along her arms. “Mmm, you sure about that?”
“Yes,” she says, her nipples pebbling against the fabric stretched over them. “I wasn’t teasing. Teasing implies I have no plans on following through.”
I nip at the skin of her neck. “I had plans tonight, too, baby. And you’ve derailed them.”
“No,” she gasps as I drag my fingers along the waistband of her shorts. “I enhanced them.”
