Chapter Seventeen

Addilyn

Someone bangs on my front door so hard that I almost fall out of my chair. Who the hell? Setting my cup of tea down, I get out of my chair, and cautiously walk over to the door.

“Open this fucking door, Addilyn,” Trey yells, and I let out a relieved breath before yanking it open and meeting his angry scowl. I can’t even get a word out before he’s storming into the apartment, slamming the door behind him, and crushing my lips with his. I’m breathless, taken aback by his raw hunger and the demanding kiss that’s unlike any we’ve shared before. I feel thoroughly claimed. I guess that’s the point though.

“Trey, what are you doing?” I whisper against his lips, and he pulls me into him tighter, almost like he’s trying to attach me to him permanently.

“Just reminding you, baby.”

I would laugh if he weren’t currently keeping my mouth so busy. There’s no need for a reminder. Through the whole dinner all I could think about was him and how Kyle would never compare to the man kissing me right now. Not that he gives me a chance to say that as he pushes my body up against the wall and grinds into me.

My body aches for him, needing him to slide inside me again just like he did this morning as he whispered words of awe and gave me one earth shattering orgasm after another. This level of need is out of control. Even when we’ve only been apart for mere minutes, I’m already thinking about the next time I’ll see him. The next time I can feel his naked body next to me, on top of me.

Obsession – that’s what this is.

His hands tear at my jeans, trying to get them off my body, and I’m slightly concerned that he’s going to ruin them with his frantic pulling. As I slip my hands up under his shirt and press them to his skin, he slides them down, flipping me around and pulling me back against his rigid cock. He grabs my hands and pins them to the wall above my head as his other hand slips between my thighs, rubbing my clit with his thumb.

Moaning, I spread my legs and he releases my hands to pinch my nipple. My head rolls back into him, and he bites my neck, making my body jerk like I’ve just been hit with a live wire. The room is filled with our combined need, like flashes of lightning on a stormy night, and I’m lost in the fog.

Pulling his hands away from my body completely, he barks out a tense “don’t move” as he drops his jeans and rolls a condom on. Then, he’s back to me, pressing himself up against my back while one hand holds mine against the wall, and the other flattens against my lower belly, tilting my hips to the angle he wants. He lines himself up with my entrance and plants a sweet kiss right below my ear before surging into me.

“Trey,” I cry out as I struggle to breathe, my pussy already dripping with need, and the push and pull of his cock inside me sets a fire blazing across my skin. His grip on my hands tightens, and he dips his hand down to graze his fingers over my clit, my hips bucking in response.

“Keep your hands here,” he commands as he pulls away and grabs my hips in both hands, thrusting into me harder. My moans fill the room and at this point, I can’t even bring myself to care that I sound like every porn ever made. I have no control over my body or my reactions to him.

“Oh, God,” I cry when I hit the tipping point, my body teetering right on the edge of bliss, and he leans in, his hot breath hitting my neck.

“Give it to me, Addy. You know what I want.”

His words catapult me into an intense orgasm that has my knees giving out and my vision blurring. Trey holds me against him, continuing with shallow thrusts that only seem to prolong my pleasure until his body tenses and he lets out a low groan that almost makes me come again.

He’s quiet for a few moments, our labored breaths the only sound in the room before he sets me on my feet and pulls out of me. I watch him as he strides to the bathroom and comes back out a few moments later. He reaches for his jeans and pulls them on, still not looking at me, and my chest starts to ache.

What the hell is going on here?

He looks over at me and sighs, his eyes filled with regret. Regret about me? No. Please, no. I never wanted to see that look in his eyes. His long strides eat up the space between us, and he slides his fingers into my hair, pulling me to him. After he plants a quick kiss on my forehead, he sighs and turns, leaving my apartment without another word.

As I pour the hot coffee into a mug, I do my best to tamp down my rage and breathe so I don’t just march over to his apartment right now and murder him. After he left me standing naked in my living room, all I could do was stare at the door in shock. It was so out of character for Trey, and there’s a part of me that’s scared of his sudden shift. And yeah, maybe I shouldn’t have gone out with Kyle but I was under the impression that it was dinner with a friend, which is completely acceptable.

When I finally recovered from my shock, I broke down – crawling into bed and crying until the early morning hours. I’ve always felt free to go out and have fun. If I wanted to sleep with a guy, I did, but I’ve never felt like a whore until last night. Tears sting my eyes, and I know that there’s no way in hell I’m staying over here. He and I are going to hash this out right now.

I stand and set the coffee cup back down on the table before grabbing my phone. I’m starting a text to Trey when someone knocks on the door, and my heart skips a beat. Oh, please don’t be him. I was counting on the drive over to his apartment to build myself up for this. I’m still too raw right now. Sucking in a nervous breath, I walk over to the door and open it, relieved and somehow not relieved to see Kyle standing on the other side.

“Good morning,” he says, a bright smile on his face.

“Um…hi. Did we have plans that I forgot?” I can’t deal with this right now. I’m liable to snap his head off in place of the person I’m really mad at.

“Oh no, I’m just heading to the airport, and I wanted to say good-bye.”

Well, at least that’s one problem I don’t have to worry about now. “Oh, okay. It was great seeing you.”

He reaches out and grabs my hand, and I freeze, eyeing him warily. “Addy, I want you to know I meant what I said last night. I’m going to do whatever it takes to fix this.”

Blowing out a breath, I resist the urge to pinch the bridge of my nose and give away my irritation. I’m not really mad at Kyle. “Kyle, please believe me when I say that my feelings for you do not extend past friendship. You are a nice guy, and the last thing I want to do is hurt you but I can’t pretend I feel a certain way when I don’t.”
