Chapter Ten
My blood boils at the sight of them together. He is mine. Not hers. I thought he would see me. See what I do to bring us together. Sally was a warning and he ignored it. Anger. That’s all I feel right now. I murdered that whore Sally, and it didn’t even fucking phase him. I killed the bitch for causing his eyes to roam over her body.
She was always trying to get his attention. She got it and mine, too.
I thought he would see me. That he was finally moving on from Delaney. He has been ignoring her for months. I kept waiting for him to give me a sign. Maybe I should have gone to him instead.
This is my fault.
I should have taken Delaney out of the picture.
I hesitated.
So stupid.
I am so stupid.
And now the bastard is here, with her, his hands all over her. I can’t wait to peel that skin from her body. When I do, I’ll take my time slicing her up one layer at a time. I’ll send her to him one piece at a time.
The he’ll see.
Won’t he?
He has to.
We were made for each other.
We have the same thirst for blood.
I could kill him.
No. That won’t work.
Then I don’t get him either.
Pity.
I watch him with his arm around her. Seeing them together, him hanging on her every word makes me sick.
What is it about her that has him so tied up in knots? That has him basically killing for her. Yeah, he probably didn’t even realize I finally figured that out. He’s smart, throwing in a few random kiddie touchers and rapist into the mix. But nah, I’ve finally figured out it’s to get the scent off his precious little good girl. Delaney. Stupid bitch.
She thinks she is better than me. Than everyone with her goodie, goodie act. But I see through it. I see through her.
I watch him leaning in close like he’s going to kiss her.
That just ain’t gonna work for me. I need to up my game. Take some time off and regroup. Clearly, what I’m doing isn’t working for me, because he’s no closer to seeing me. Hell, for six months I stopped being so obvious, waiting to see what he would do. But nothing, not a damn thing. Why doesn’t he see me?
I should leave, but I want to figure out what it is about this bitch that makes him so loyal to her when I’m the one who has been doing all of this for him. Everything is for him. Maybe if I go after his precious sister, he’ll pay attention. Then maybe he’ll see that it’s her fault that I’ve been driven to such drastic measures. Then he’ll see her for the distraction. For the problem that she is.
She’s keeping us from being together.
Pike is mine.
Soon I’ll have him.
Delaney will be worm food. That is if there’s anything left of her when I get through carving her up.
Why does he want her?
