Cold weather's moving in.
Again.
My phone vibrates against the table.
I glance at the screen.
Security alert.
Cabin.
Well, I'll be damned.
I open the feed.
And there she is.
The little brunette who's been sniffing around my property for the last three days.
“Son of a bitch.”
Grim raises an eyebrow.
“Problem?”
“Maybe.”
I enlarge the image.
She's standing in my kitchen, brushing something off her coat.
Five foot six, give or take.
Dark hair brushing her shoulders.
And curves that have been distracting the hell out of me since I first spotted her climbing out of her car near my driveway.
“What've you got?” Striker asks.
“An intruder.”
That gets everybody's attention.
Vex moves closer.
“Want me to call the boys?”
“Not yet.”
I watch the woman wander into my living room.
She's looking around like she's inspecting a house she might want to buy.
Unbelievable.
The first time I saw her, she'd been walking around my property with her phone in one hand and a determined expression on her pretty face.
I figured she was lost.
