Your Alpha.
The man in the mask was an Alpha. The size of him, the growl the modulator couldn’t hide, the way Rhett cowered every time he moved.
And Rhett thought he was mine.
The only Alpha I’d ever wanted was a customer who didn’t even know my last name.
Ghostface yanked Rhett’s head to the side, one gloved hand swallowing his whole face.
“Ah-ah-ah. We’re not done. It’ll never happen again, will it?”
“N-no. It won’t.”
“And why is that, Beta?”
He released Rhett’s chin and rose. In one step, he was behind him. Rhett whimpered as he lifted his arms.
My eyes dropped to his hands. Where his hands should have been.
There was nothing there but bloody stumps.
Blood dripped from his forearms, and the room tilted.
“Because he cut my hands off,” Rhett gasped.
That was when I noticed how pale he was. Grey. He was bleeding out. Ghostface let go, and Rhett slumped forward and disappeared below the frame. The masked man stepped over him and walked toward the camera. I leaned back in my chair as he stopped, filling the screen again.
“That’s not all I cut off. I hope you enjoy your gift,” Ghostface murmured.
He reached forward, and the screen went black.
My thumb shook as I tapped the link again.
This content is no longer available.
I didn’t know if I was relieved or disappointed I couldn’t access it anymore.
My phone slipped from my fingers and clattered onto the table. My gaze slid to the large black box. The pink ribbon lay in a loose tangle beside it, right where I’d dropped it. My chest rose and fell too fast. With trembling fingers, I lifted the lid.
A shrill scream filled the room.
Rhett’s hands gripping his cock were the last thing I saw before the world went dark.
Chapter 6
Klaus
The scream came through the speakers so loud Rhett flinched in the corner.
On the screen, Ru’s chair tipped. Her head hit the floor with a thud I felt in my soul, and she didn’t move.
“Shit.”
I was out of the chair before I’d finished the word. I’d known there was a fifty percent chance she’d scream. I hadn’t accounted for her fainting.
The prickless Rhett made a wet, hopeful sound behind his tape, like he thought this was his chance. I kicked him in the face on my way past, and his head cracked against the wall.
“Stay,” I growled.
