Something in my chest softens.

I study his face.

He sighs.

“Yes. I would miss you for every moment of eternity.”

My throat tightens.

I take his hand.

“Well, in that case…”

He watches me.

I pretend to consider my options.

“Does eternity include unlimited orgasms?”

Morpheus goes perfectly still.

Then a slow, wicked smile spreads across his face.

“Little mortal.”

He pulls me into his lap.

I laugh.

His enormous hands settle at my waist.

“Eternity will not be nearly long enough for all the pleasure I plan to bestow upon you.”

I grin.

I burst out laughing.
