She whooped. “We livin’ on the wild side today.” Her voice evened out when she added to the barista, “I’ll take a regular coffee.”

I laughed. “Seriously?”

She made a face, flipping silky blond hair behind her shoulder. “I don’t like that sweet stuff.”

We retreated to a corner to wait for our beverages.

“Hey, Ivy. You got plans Friday night?”

“I’ve always got plans, darlin’, but arrangements could be made for the right person.”

Smiling, I said, “What do you think about setting up a WhiskeyWomen impromptu invitation at the Sugar Lounge? We could get a couple of women to pose with drinks, post it to our social media. Maybe bring a crowd in?”

“I got a better idea.” She leaned toward me with a glint in her green eyes. “What if you and me were the women?”

Taken aback, I looked around. “Me?”

“And me. We get all dolled up, show our come-hither eyes to the camera.”

Three seconds of picturing myself trying to achieve that in my mind, and I shook my head. “I don’t have come-hither eyes.”

She lifted an eyebrow. “All women have come-hither eyes, Shay.”

“I don’t know if I’m the right—”

“Oh, hush your mouth. You’re perfect.”

“Ivy!” called the barista.

We took our drinks and headed back outside. With one sip, my mouth orgasmed, and I stared at my cup in ecstasy. “This is the best thing I’ve ever tasted.”

She chuckled. “Look at the camera the way you’re lookin’ at that cup right now, and I think we’ll attract the whole town.”

Friday, I wore my best dress to work—a simple black number, tight in the bodice, that displayed a generous scoop of my back. A cardigan made it business-appropriate for the office.

“Methinks you’ve got something hiding under that sweater,” Bennett said that morning after I’d settled at my desk.

“Ha. Ha. Did you hear the plan?” I took a sip of my mystery coffee and paused at the change in flavor.

Vanilla lavender.

Was the coffee-bringer Ivy? I’d asked her yesterday, and she loudly denied it, laughing the whole time.

“I did.” Bennett watched me eye the coffee with interest. “Something wrong?”

“It’s a different flavor today.”

The Cheshire cat smile graced his handsome face. “Fairy godmother is branching out?”

“I think it might be Ivy,” I whispered.

He leaned closer. “I think you might be wrong.”

“Ben,” Cam barked from his office. “I need you.”

A knowing sparkle brightened his dark eyes as he turned to Cam. “Whatever for?”
