“Hey, man,” Trick greets, getting to him first and giving him a huge hug. We all do the same, and then he ushers us inside.

Lyric grins at us from the couch, surrounded by her men, a blanket laid over her lap, and a gorgeous tiny baby snuggled in her arms.

The tears flow as I move over to her, grateful that the back of the couch faces the room, so I can lean over the back of it and hug her.

“I am so, so proud of you,” I say quietly. “She is absolutely stunning. She’s so much smaller than she looked in her photos, and I thought she looked tiny in them.”

“Isn't she perfect?” Lyric says proudly.

“Absolutely,” I reply, my voice hushed.

The guys all drift off, talking to Lyric’s men, but all of Lyric’s men stay within sight of their daughter. Lyric nods to the seat next to her.

“Are you going to sit down?” She jokes.

I nod, “Yeah, just let me go and wash my hands and take my jacket off. We’ve only come from our place to the car and then from the car into here, but I don’t want to risk anything at all sitting that closely to her.”

Lyric smiles, “Okay. Did Rafe make brownies?”

I burst out laughing, “Oh yeah, he brought brownies and several chuck-in-the-oven meals. You guys don’t have to cook for months.”

“Aw, I love you guys,” she replies. Her eyes widen. “Wait, did he make lasagna?”

“I can go and check? If he did, do you want me to put it in the oven?” I ask.

“Would that be okay?”

“Of course, I’ll be back. I’m assuming since my men have disappeared that they’re loading up your freezers and washing their hands too. I’ll catch them before they put the lasagna in,” I reply, and then give her one more squeeze.

“Thanks, Ever,” Creed says gratefully.

All of Lyric’s men have stayed in here with her.

“If Rafe’s really made that much food, I’ll head out to help them bring it in,” Ezra says as he stands up and stretches.

“I’ll come and help too,” Quinn adds, looking at Lyric to make sure she’s okay.

She smiles and waves him off, “Go, we’re okay.”

Soon all of them are heading to help the guys, apart from Jonah, who stays snuggled up next to Lyric and the baby.

“I’ll come with you and help the guys organize it in the kitchen,” Pete says, as he takes my place and gives Lyric a big hug, telling her how awesome she is and how adorable the baby is.

I feel weird calling her the baby, but since Lyric and the guys haven’t shared with us what her name is yet, there isn’t really anything else that I can call her.

Pete and I head into the kitchen to help the guys sort everything out and put the lasagna in the oven, ready for them all to have later. Rafe pulls out some garlic bread too, to go in the oven when the time is right. The lasagna is going to take a while to cook.

“Go, and take these and see them both,” he tells me as he hands me the brownies. “We’ve got this.”

I smile gratefully, “Thank you.”

Both Pete and I wash up properly and then head back out to the main living area.

“Ooo brownies,” Lyric immediately says with a huge grin. She makes grabby hands at me.

“Hold on, I’m coming,” I tease. My smile widens as I see Jonah holding his daughter.

Pete and I sit on either side of Lyric, snuggling up close as she immediately dives into the brownies and gives us each one as well.
