He throws an arm around her and pulls her closer. “Don’t I know it.”
Then he kisses her.
I pretend to gag and turn away, a flash of envy welling up inside.
Imagine if Roman were here, kissing me like that.
I face Ivy. “How’d you convince Bash to be the big, bad wolf?”
“Sex,” she says matter-of-factly.
He tugs at one of the ears. “She knows all my weaknesses.”
I laugh.
“I may have given him a blow job on the drive over.”
I high-five her. “Smart.”
Gracie comes over, dragging a pretty brunette with her. The woman looks to be about my age.
She points to Ivy. “Presley, this is Ivy. The terrifying man pretending he isn’t completely obsessed with her is her husband, Sebastian.”
Sebastian reaches up and tugs at one of the fake wolf ears. “I'm taking these off.”
Ivy smiles sweetly. “No, you’re not.”
Sebastian sighs, and both say hi to Presley.
Gracie points to my sister and Drew. “Violet and her fiancé, Drew.”
Drew adjusts one of the white ears on his head, pouting as he points at Violet. “She got to be Jessica Rabbit.”
Like Presley gives a shit.
“Because I have the legs for it.”
“I also have legs,” he murmurs.
“Not Jessica Rabbit legs.”
Drew sighs. “This is my life.”
I roll my eyes and murmur, “So dramatic,” and turn my attention to Gracie and Presley.
“And this,” Gracie continues, pointing at me, “is Callie. Violet’s sister.”
“Meow.”
Violet groans. “Please stop doing that.”
“I’m committed to the costume.”
“You’ve been doing it for an hour.”
“And I have several hours left.” I jerk a thumb in Violet’s direction. “They’re dramatic. Ignore them. I’m the fun one.”
Presley laughs. She looks up as a large man puts his arm around her waist.
