That's apparently all the permission he needs, because he pulls out almost all the way then slams into me. My head snaps back against the mattress. He does it again before I’ve recovered, and again, and there’s nothing careful left in him at all. He drives into me hard enough that the bunk starts slamming against the wall, the bolts rattling as if they might actually come loose. I throw a hand up to keep my head from hitting the paneling, but every stroke still knocks the air out of me and strips away another piece of my ability to think.
“Fuck, baby. You like that?” he groans, driving into me again. “Goddamn, Addie. You feel so fucking good wrapped around me.”
My name on his lips while he’s destroying me does something catastrophic to my ability to think. I wrap my legs around him and pull him closer, meeting him instead of simply taking what he gives me, because if this is supposed to get Chace Walker out of my system, I’m not wasting a second of it.
“There’s my girl.” His mouth brushes my ear, his breath hot against my skin. “Knew you could handle me.” He hooks his forearm under my knee and shoves it toward my chest, spreading me open, and the next thrust goes so deep a cry rips out of me before I can stop it.
“Chace—” I can’t even think, can hardly breathe. All I can see, hear, or feel is him, driving into me until there’s no room in my head for anything else.
“Yeah.” He doesn’t slow down. “Tell me what you need, Addie.”
“Harder,” I choke out, breathless.
A shudder runs through him, his grip tightening on my thigh, and then whatever control he was still holding onto disappears. There’s barely a rhythm anymore, just Chace slamming into me over and over, one hand fisted in the blanket beside my head while the other keeps me exactly where he wants me. The camper rocks on its jacks, the bunk knocking against the wall hard enough that my shoulder hits with it. Rain hammers against the roof while the wet slap of our bodies fills the cramped space beneath it, mixed with every breathless moan he drags out of me until I’m way past caring who might hear.
“That what you wanted?” His voice is ragged in my ear. “Hm? This what you’ve been thinking about all summer?”
I can’t answer. He fucks the answer out of me anyway, and he knows it, and he does it harder. His mouth comes down on my throat, and he bites, and my whole body clenches around him.
“Fuck.” His forehead drops against mine, his rhythm faltering for half a second. “Do that again.”
I tighten around him deliberately this time, and his reaction is immediate. His breath catches, his fingers dig harder into my hip, and something almost desperate flashes across his face before he gets an arm beneath my shoulders and hauls me closer to him, closing any space that was between us. The change in angle hits a spot inside me that makes my vision blur. The pressure that’s been building starts climbing fast, every thrust landing in the same place until my nails are buried in his back and I can hear myself begging without even knowing what I’m saying.
“Not yet.” His teeth catch at my ear. “Not till I say.”
I make some broken sound that isn’t even close to a word, but he keeps going, driving into that same spot over and over until I’m barely holding on. Thunder rolls beyond the thin camper walls, and somewhere in the middle of it his control finally starts to crack. His rhythm gets rougher, less measured, his breath tearing from his chest while my name comes from his mouth.
And watching Chace Walker lose control because of me is the last thing I can take. “I’m…Chace…I’m–-”
“I know.” His voice is wrecked against my ear. “Come on, Sunshine. Come for me now.”
The orgasm hits so hard my vision blacks out at the edges and then disappears completely. For a few seconds, there is nothing but Chace and the pleasure ripping through me, so intense it almost hurts. My back arches off the mattress as everything inside me locks around him, and then the first wave breaks, only for another to crash through me before I can recover. Again and again, each pulse sharper than the last, dragging helpless cries from my throat while my entire body shakes beneath him. I’ve never felt anything like it. I can’t breathe, can’t think, can’t do anything except hold onto him while wave after agonizing wave rolls through me and he keeps moving, carrying me through every impossible second of it.
Above me, Chace curses into my neck as whatever control he had left finally snaps. “Fuck. Addie. Fuck—” His voice breaks against my neck, and I feel every hard pulse of him inside me as he comes. His whole body goes rigid over mine, fingers digging into me while the last waves of my own orgasm are still tearing through me, each one making me clench around him all over again.
When his strength finally gives out, he collapses onto me, his weight pressing me deep into the mattress. Neither of us moves. We’re both shaking, dragging air into our lungs while my body keeps pulsing around him in smaller aftershocks that refuse to let go completely. His heart is hammering against my chest almost as hard as mine, his face buried against my neck, and for a long moment all I can do is lie there beneath him and try to remember how to breathe.
I have never come that hard in my life. And judging by the way Chace is still trembling against me, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who just had the experience of a lifetime.
Rain beats steadily against the camper roof while our breathing slowly evens out, the small space warm and damp around us. Eventually Chace shifts beside me, and I end up half sprawled across his chest with one leg tangled between his, listening to his heartbeat gradually slow beneath my cheek. His other hand moves absently over my arm, fingertips tracing from my shoulder to my elbow and back again. I keep drawing lazy circles against his chest while the rain pounds overhead, neither of us in any hurry to move.
Eventually, my finger stills against his skin. “If we’re going to keep doing this, things are changing.”
His fingers slow against my arm. “Doing what? Did we do something?” He grins over at me.
I lift my head and give him a look, swatting his bare chest. “Don’t be an ass. I’m talking about the bull riding. And before you start arguing, I’m not telling you to stop. I still think it’s reckless, and whatever the hell that place was tonight looked like a tetanus shot waiting to happen, but I get it. I understand why you miss it.”
For a moment, he just looks at me, like that wasn’t remotely what he expected me to say. His hand starts moving over my arm again, slower this time, while I settle back against his chest.
“But you don’t get to disappear anymore,” I continue. “If you’re going to ride, you tell me. Because I’m coming with you. I can help you prepare, help with the bulls, whatever you need. Hell, I’ll stand there and tell you your ride sucked if that’s what keeps your ego in check. But I’m not sitting at camp wondering where the hell you are, or if you’re hurt somewhere, because you decided keeping me in the dark was easier.”
Chace lets out a long breath beneath me. “That place tonight wasn’t somewhere I wanted you, Addie. I’m not trying to be an asshole about it. You saw what it was like. Half those guys were drunk, nobody knew who the hell was in charge, and people were standing ten feet away from pissed-off bulls like they were at a petting zoo. I know how to handle myself in a place like that. I don’t want to be looking over my shoulder the whole time wondering if something’s happening to you.”
I push myself onto one elbow so I can look at him properly. “Then you can worry about me. I was already worrying about you, Chace, except I didn’t even know where you were.” I shake my head. “You don’t get to decide that keeping me completely in the dark is somehow safer just because it makes things easier for you. I know my way around livestock, and I’m not some helpless idiot you have to babysit. If you’re doing this, I’d rather be there helping than sitting here imagining every possible way it could go wrong.” I hold his gaze. “You’re not doing this alone anymore. Get used to it.”
His eyes stay on mine for a long moment, and I prepare myself for another argument. I’m already collecting reasons in my head when he surprises me by exhaling and dragging his palm slowly down my arm.
“You really are a pain in my ass.”
