Pie. The answer is always pie.
Whit
Pie.

TRAITORS
I laugh because, of course, this is what requires a referee.
“What side are you on?”
Jubal doesn’t even look up from his phone. “Pie.”
“Of course, you are.”
There was a time when being dropped into a conversation with half the Valor roster would’ve made me wonder whether I was there because of Dad. I’m mostly wondering how these men, who get paid to make split-second decisions under pressure, have managed to turn dessert into a team crisis.
Why are we fighting about dessert? None of you are the ones baking it.
Easton answers so fast he must have been waiting for me to chime in.
Easton
BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO RESPECT FOR YOUR COOKIES
I made the mistake of bringing cookies to the facility once. Now Easton acts like I’ve been withholding a basic human right every time I show up without them.
Sullivan
Nobody said we don’t respect her cookies. We said pie belongs at Thanksgiving. Cookies are a Christmas dessert.
Archer
I still think cookies can do both.
JJ
I’m with Archer.
Whit
Of course the two youngest people here picked cookies.
Archer
That’s age discrimination.
Easton
Callie please tell them they’re wrong.
How about I make cookies AND pie. Happy?
Easton
I KNEW CALLIE WOULD FIX IT!!!!
