I pull back just slightly so I can see her face. Her tears are still falling, and my thumbs move instinctively to wipe them.

“You’re pregnant,” I whisper, the words feeling too big to speak.

She nods—barely—like she’s afraid to admit it.

A breath leaves my chest—a shaky, uneven sound—and then I do the only thing I know. I wrap my arms around her, pulling her fully into me, as tight as I can, like if I hold her close enough, I can protect her from every fear, every doubt.

My voice is hoarse, but steady this time.

“You’re having my baby.” Another pause. A heartbeat. A realization that hits like lightning. “We’re having a baby.”

I feel her collapse into me, her arms winding around my waist as she sobs into my chest. I kiss the top of her head, again and again, and I don’t even realize I’m crying too until tears land on her hair.

There’s so much to say, and yet nothing that could ever match this moment.

So I just hold her.

And silently thank the universe for every twist, every storm, every detour—because it all led here.

To her.

To us.

To this tiny miracle, growing between us.

„I didn’t know. I didn’t want to look at the results without you,” she whispers, her voice muffled against my chest.

I hold her tighter, my hand cradling the back of her head, her words sinking deep into my bones.

“I wanted to wait until we were both together. To find out at the same time,” she continues, her voice breaking slightly. “And after seeing what you built… what you created for me, for us… I just couldn’t wait anymore. I had to know.”

I close my eyes and press my lips to the crown of her head, trying to breathe through the tidal wave crashing over me. Emotion so full, so raw, I don’t know if I can speak.

This woman.

The way she loves me.

The way she trusts me with the biggest moment of her life—our lives.

I pull back just enough to look down at her. Her eyes glassy, filled with uncertainty. But also with something deeper.

Faith.

I brush my fingers gently along her jaw and whisper, “I’m the happiest man on earth right now, baby.”

It almost feels like if I speak too loud, something might break the spell—like this moment is too sacred for noise.

“Thank you,” I murmur, voice trembling. “Thank you for saying yes to me. For choosing to be mine. For everything you are… and how you love me.”

My throat tightens as I look into her tear-filled eyes.

“Thank you for giving me the most precious gift. Because, Sierra…” I pause, taking a breath, grounding myself in the depth of it all. “You and all the kids we’re going to have—you’re my life.”

Her lips part, her hand pressing over my heart, and for a moment the world is still.

Just her and me.

And the future we just stepped into.
