The next thing I knew, Mina pounced on me. It took me so off guard that I went reeling back. “Omph,” I muttered when I crashed against one of the racks.
Mina’s eyes bulged in horror as her hands flew to cover her mouth. “Oh my God. Are you okay?”
Chuckling, I brushed the dust off my ass. “Trust me. I’ve taken much worse on the ice.”
“Oh my God. I can’t believe I just did that.”
With a wink, I replied, “Your eagerness is so fucking sexy.”
A nervous laugh tittered from her lips. “I don’t know what’s gotten into me.”
“I want into you. Desperately.”
With a groan, she ran her hands over her eyes. “That's a terrible line.”
“Admit it. I have a way with words.”
Mina giggled. “Some more than others.”
Pulling her against me, I stared intently into her eyes. “You are going to rock my world, aren’t you?”
“I don’t know about that,” Mina replied shyly.
“What could you possibly feel inadequate about?”
Tapping her chin, she replied, “Oh let’s see. Maybe it’s the fact you’re a professional hockey player with young, sexy puck bunnies wanting a piece of you.”
I snorted. “It’s been a long time since puck bunnies have been throwing themselves at me.”
Mina rolled her eyes. “I seriously doubt that.”
“It’s the truth.”
“While it may be, that doesn’t take away from the fact you’ve been with way more women than my normal partners have.”
“I think you’re getting me and a rockstar mixed up.”
“Doubtful.”
“Does it really matter how many women I’ve been with?”
“You sure are getting your hopes up that sex with me is going to be good.”
“I just call it as I see it.”
“I wish I shared your confidence,” I mumbled.
I swept the hair out of Mina’s face. “Mina Hansen, are you wet for me?”
She blinked at me a few times. “Y-Yes.”
“Dripping wet?”
Her mouth flopped open and closed like a fish. “Uh, maybe?”
