“Otay,” he replied, before he continued throwing a stick for Ozzy.
Rising to my feet, I then went back over to Gavin. “So, what do you like to eat?”
An impish grin formed on his lips while the twinkle in his dark eyes was pure sex. It sent heat to my cheeks and between my legs. Tilting his head at me, he replied, “It’s hard to say. I have a really big appetite.”
Licking my lips, I replied, “I can tell by how big you are.”
A shudder ran through Gavin’s body. “Thanks for noticing.”
“How could I not?”
“Are you always so observant when it comes to your customers?”
With my eyes locked on his, I slowly shook my head. “Only you.”
“Fuck,” Gavin
At that moment, someone else took over my mind. Some absolute vixen. Placing my hands on the table, I leaned in close to Gavin. “Do you like spicy things?” I purred, my face inching close to his.
“Oh yeah.”
Shooting him a sexy smirk, I replied, “Then I would suggest the gulasche suppe as a starter.”
Heat flashed in Gavin’s eyes. “You’re a tease, aren’t you, Mina?”
“Sometimes.”
The sound of the terrace door banging open caused me to jump out of my skin. Whirling around, Rory was striding across the terrace with a coloring sheet and crayons in her hand. At her expression, I eased away from Gavin.
“I thought Owen might like this.” As she shoved the materials at me, she gave me a knowing look before smiling at Gavin. “I don’t think we were properly introduced. I”m Mina’s younger sister, Rory.”
“It’s nice to meet you,” Gavin said as he shook her hand. “Mina was just helping me decide what to eat.”
“I noticed.”
At my gasp of horror, Gavin merely chuckled. “What would you suggest?”
“The Bavarian Creme for dessert.”
“And why is that?”
Rory grinned. “I made it.”
At Gavin’s surprise, I said, “Rory doesn’t usually work here. She runs the bakery two doors down.”
“That smells so heavenly it enticed my best friend and his kids from the street.”
With a laugh, Rory replied, “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
“Well, I’ll leave you to it.”
When we were alone again, I took two steps back from Gavin before asking, “So, do you prefer chicken or sausage?”
“I prefer chicken, but I hope you like sausage.”
When he wagged his brows, a laugh burst from my lips. “Seriously?”
